Up for auction is my Quadlight 1981 Toyota Corolla TE72, 2 Door Coupe, w/ Manual 5-Speed Transmission & 3TC Engine This classic Toyota is a clean example of a TE72 coupe. It had a 5-speed manual transmission, which shifts and drives very smoothly. The engine runs excellent and this quick little car has plenty of power and accelerates great. The TE72 2-door coupe is highly sought after because of its short wheelbase and light weight. The alternator has been replaced and has a brand new radiator just installed. It also had the clutch fan replaced. The engine looks great and is in preserved condition. I have serviced the car and replaced the spark plugs, spark plug wires, had the oil changed as well. It had recently had the head gasket fixed as well as the top end of the engine (I have the repair receipt, as pictured below). This vehicle has a clean body with a couple rust spots (please refer to pictures) that have been treated with Rustoleum. The rust has gone through around the trunk and under the windshield vent (refer to YouTube Video). There is also a little rust on the bottom edge of the doors, that has not got through (refer to pictures). The wheels are original and have the original Toyota center caps. The tires have good tread on them. It comes with a Toyota spare tire as well. The odometer reads 34,470 and has exceeded the odometer capacity, it is a 5 digit odometer. It has just passed its smog test and is ready for its new owner! This car has A/C! Thank God! In CA you would get heat exhaustion without it!It blows cold and has just got a new a RB12 a/c tank installed and the system serviced. It does great on gas mileage and is a pleasure to drive. It does great on freeways also. It does not overheat and I haven't seen the temperature gauge go higher than 1/8 high. This car comes with rear window defrosters. The rear interior seats are in great original shape. The front seats are very torn, however, I left them like that because they are original and can be reupholstered using many of the original pieces (especially the grey seat stripes). It has an aftermarket CD player which does not work. And, of course it has cracks on the dashboard. The paint is very good and is not fading and has a good clear coat as well. It is California registered with a Clear Title. This a great platform to build a show or race car. With a little work this can be show worthy! There is NO RESERVE.
