I am selling my 1980 CBX, I am "downsizing" and have recently moved from a house with an 8 car garage to one with a three car garage and this is my last "extra" motorcycle to be sold. I purchased this from the second owner who owned it for 20 years and in that time only put a few thousand miles on it, mostly sat in his living room, he sold it due to his advanced age, I paid $8,000. 7,500 miles on it when I bought it, now has 10,100.  This bike is all original (except tires and battery) and in excellent, ready to go condition. Tank is near perfect, no dings or dents, deep red original paint. Front fender has one or two almost invisible chips. Tail piece has a half inch scratch (see photo). Seat is excellent with no rips or open seams. Original exhaust, excellent chrome, no rust or dents. There is a rub mark on the black plastic portion of rear fender (see photo with license plate). Side stand only. The only thing you may want to do is detail the engine and polish the top of the carbs. This bike was in great condition when I got it but it had a flat spot during acceleration. I had the following work done at Razee Motorcycle Center in North Kingstown, RI. They are a Honda dealer and delivered these bikes new. Their mechanics are the best. Carbs removed, stripped, cleaned and reassembled with all new internal parts. Checked for leaks and syncronized. New Metzler tires, new battery, new fork seals. Master cylinder and rear caliper rebuilt, all fresh brake fluid. Alternator checked, brushes are fine, gasket replaced. Have invoices for $3,000 for this and other work, plus I bought carb parts from Tims for about $600. Fresh oil and filter. I added a fuel filter to insure carbs stay clean. New air cleaner.
