Vehicle Detail

This truck has served me well and I believe it will give someone another 100000 miles at least if it gets the attention it deserves. There is a knocking noise coming from the engine. Originally I was told it was a broken fly-wheel so I replaced that but that wasn't the cause of the noise. I've been told it is a piston rod that needs replacing which I'm sure isn't something that gets fixed as easily or as cheap as something like the brakes. The interior is in fairly good shape. There are some splits in the leather seats. The driver door has a different key than the rest of the car because the handle broke and was replaced. The tires have at least 50% tread remaining. The hood has a little oxidation and could be buffed out and clear coated. I just had $1500 worth of AC work done. It has one more thing which needs to be fixed for it to work according to the dealership. It had brakes done recently. It has had regular oil changes. It is registered Non-Op at the moment. I figure the vehicle blue books for $3,746 in fair condition. With what I'm asking, a buyer could put the savings into the car, sort of an "allowance" to fix the engine & register the truck. This should be plenty to do those things plus fix the A/C if you wanted. You can get a used engine for $1152 from www.automotix.net. Or put nothing into it and use the truck for parts. Either way it's a good price because this truck will still go strong if these repairs are done. If you have other questions, send them to me and I will answer to the best of my knowledge. I have loved this truck for years and it is my baby. Still gets pretty good gas mileage for a V8, better than my boyfriends V6 Ranger anyway. I'd be sad to see it go but I have too many other vehicles right now.
