Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a 1981 Honda CB900F Super Sport. All ORIGINAL - unrestored. Exceptional condition. Very low original miles - only 5,670 miles. Factory installed Honda GP (Euro) Sport Kit (includes lower handlebars, sport kit top mount throttle assembly, and rear set foot plates which move the rider footpegs further back) to accommodate a more aggressive riding position than standard US models. As far as I can tell, every nut and bolt is original. Original paint on bodywork and frame is gorgeous. One small indent on tank near left knee as shown in pictures (pictures amplify the dent - it is not that noticeable). Some very tiny hairline scratches in tank on right side above valve cover (cannot be seen in the pictures). One tiny chip in the red part of the tank stripe decal on the left side near the seat. Tail section, side covers, and front fender are nearly perfect. Tabs on side covers are perfect. The guages have some of the best (red lettering) color I have ever seen on one of these older Hondas. Chrome on the exhaust pipes is very nice... no dents, no rust. Some minor paint scratches on both headlight ears, also near the key for the ignition switch, and some scratches on the clutch cover (between 10 and 11 o'clock). Otherwise, the bike shines and looks almost like new. Absolutely no corrosion. All nuts and bolts are shiny. Paint on frame, engine, swingarm, wheels, etc is all glossy and nice. The bike is amazingly clean under tank, seat, behind side covers, and inside of the fenders. Exhaust star clamps have some normal wear. Original mirrors, grips, turn signals, drive chain & sprockets, rear shocks are all in excellent condition. Bikes runs and handles very well - truly feels like a low-mileage bike. Fresh oil and K&N filter, fresh brake fluid front and rear, carbs were completely rebuilt and retain factory finish on the outside, new fork seals, and new Dunlop D404's have less than 200 miles. Few could ask for a nicer original CB900F. Not perfect, but about as good as it gets for a 30 year old bike that has been ridden 5,000 miles. Serious bidders only please. PLEASE do not bid unless you intend to follow through with the sale. PayPal deposit of $250 due within 48 hours of the auction close. Please contact me for the remaining balance due.
