Vehicle Detail
Nice little Tracker for sale. Was my dad's and he towed it behind his RV for a few years. Still has hitch and wiring (see picture) so it's ready for some snow bird heading west for the winter. Mirror housing on passenger side had a fateful meeting with a trash can (see picture) and one of the seams in the top has come undone (see picture of it right above the Tracker sticker). I need something bigger for my boys and toys so I'm hoping to give the old girl a good home.No rust4 new tires with less than 2000 miles on themClean interior with no rips or tearsAlloy wheels in pretty good shapeAll the "Tracker" stickers are still in place and not peeled or fadedConvertible top isn't perfect but no leaks and it battens down tightPassed Missouri Safety Inspection in April 2010 and have only put about 4000 miles on it since thenValve cover gasket and distributor O-ring replaced in October 2010...no oil leaks at allHad my local Firestone look it over, and obviously since they are in the business to sell stuff they pointed out a few things. I don't think any of this is pressing (and some just ain't needed), but here it is FYI. In fact, a shade tree mechanic can do all of this stuff without a problem. It's a simple little car, but sold as is with no guarentee or warranty implied.Clutch needs replacement or adjustmentNew plug wires recommendedRadiator hoses showing some ageThe rest is just selling tune up and systems flushing snake oil. Bottom line is that it's a strong little car with more life in it that needs typical upkeep going forward. Kelly Blue Book and NADA price it out around $1500. I don't expect that.On Dec-01-11 at 18:48:38 PST, seller added the following information: Follow up after a number of questions...A/C works2 wheel driveClutch is slipping although the car is still driveableFirestone estimate to replace clutch was about $850. They didn't tear it down and they didn't price resurfacing versus complete replacement. I suspect it would be less expensive if I had taken it to a transmission shop.
