Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 2000 chevy corvette c5. I want to start off by saying i am not in a hurry to sell this car and If the money isnt right i will keep it. If you are looking at buying this car DO NOT contact me unless you have a loan or can prove that you have the money to purchase it. I WILL NOT deal with dead beats or tire kickers I AM SERIOUS. I WILL NOT DRIVE OUT OF MY WAY FOR YOU TO LOOK AT MY CAR DONT ASK, YOU WANT TO SEE IT COME AND LOOK AT IT OTHERWISE YOUR NOT INTERESTED. WATCH THE VIDEOS BELOW THEY COVER ALMOST EVERY DETAIL ABOUT THE CAR! About my car. The car is a 2000 coupe (targa top) with a 6 speed manual transmission. The car comes with a smoked glass top, i have a broken painted top if you want it. The car technically has 177,000 miles on it but much of the car is new or rebuilt. Here is a list of what has been replaced on the car. 1. Paint (originally silver) now custom light blue metalic 2. engine (The entire top end of the engine has been rebuilt for performance.) valves, springs, push rods, retainers, heads most of the parts were upgraded to z06 parts for better performance/ strength 3. torque tube (was rebuilt) 4. transmission (was rebuilt) new synchros, retainers, new main output shaft, and 3/4 shift fork was upgraded to steel. 5. differential (was replaced with stronger 3 rib differential case and reshimmed for 4.10 gears) 6. wheels 7. carbon leafs were replaced with new. 8. seats (replaced with top of the line corbaeu a4 racing seats) Chevrolet column lock recall was done Almost all of this was done by the dealership in arkansas where I purchased the car. PERFORMANCE: If you are looking for a quiet smooth riding sunday cruiser you a looking at the wrong car. This car is LOUD the cam at idle shakes the windows in my house from the driveway. The exhaust has no cats longtube headers and resonators it sounds wicked, many vette owners have said its the best exhaust they have heard. Also the 4.10 gears make for a jerky ride if your not experienced with geared cars. here are the upgrades 1. edelbrock racing camshaft 2. z06 top end 3. z06 clutch 4. 4.10 gears 5. custom catless exhaust. (all installed and tuned at the dealers performance shop) about $4000 6. corbeau a4 racing seats (much lighter than power seats and better support) $900 7. ls6 intake manifold $400 8. TPIS long tube headers $900 9. DynoTech Engineering transmission brace $400 10. Transmission rebuild $600 11. z06 shifter $200 12. z06 wheels $1000 13. cold air intake $250 14. clear corner markers and smoked tail lights $250 (NONE OF THIS IS INCLUDING LABOR) TOTAL IN PERFORMANCE: $8900 (no expence was spared all top quality parts) I also have about $1000 in audio equipment in the car which is your choice if you want to purchse (ill take money off if you dont) The car currently makes about 420hp to the wheels and could make more from a re-tune (since adding intake manifold and headers) The car is very fast and should only be driven by a responsible driver. Although there is a ton of power the car gets abbout 22mpg in the city and 31mpg on the highway. Many of these miles are because both the previous owner and I travel long distances to work and the car is not a garage queen it is a daily driver monster. The good: This car is beautiful and in great shape for its year and mileage. It is a strong runner and I wouldnt hesitate driving it anywhere i drive it about 80+ miles everyday. It sounds awesome and is very very fast, it drives like a corvette should. The bad: The car will soon need rear tires, when the transmission was rebuilt they did not replace the 4th gear blocker ring when the synchro was done so from time to time there is a light tick/grind going into 4th. (this doesnt effect drivabilty at all) also the 4.10 gears give a whine at certain speeds (this is normal for a geared rear end) I have put tons of miles on the car and I know everything is fine the way it is. The battery may need to be replaced (it goes dead from time to time) I recently filled and charged it and it seems to be fine,(the amp for the sound system may be drawing power) The car is not perfect and has little things here and there like most other c5 corvettes. It does burn a little oil like ALL ls1 motors, and there is typical LS! lifter tick on cold starts which goes away as soon as the engine warms up for a min (the car has a cam so it needs to warm up correctly) I always maintain the car with mobile 1 full synthetic and all drivetrain fluids were recently done with synthetic AMS oil The only reason I am selling this car is because i no longer have a car for the winter and need something that can handle the snow in a long commute to work. I absolutly love it I wanted this car since i was a little kid, but now I am a college student looking to go to grad school and it is no longer practical for me. I will take the tires and other problems into consideration when talking a price but tires are around $800 for the pair (high end) and if the trans really concerns you which it shouldnt you can buy a used one for 600-700 that wont have the click in 4th but also wont have the strength of this one. If you dont like gear whine i have the stock gears you can have them put back in. I WILL NOT take more then $1500 off the price of the car for these issues. Do some research you will not find a built bad ass c5 for anywhere close to this price!! I WILL CONSIDER A TRADE FOR A NICE COMPARIBLE VALUE 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLE examples evo, wrx, pick up or mazda cx-7 something comparable NO hondas DSMS OR CRAP!!!
