Vehicle Detail
FOR SALE 1971 Chevelle SS. There have been questions about why my Chevelle does not have "hood pins". I know they were standard on 1971 SS's, but the rebuilder of my car was rebuilt it without them. The longer I have had it, the more I like it without them. I also want to say the I have always believed that one sometimes does not receive what they want only because they don't ask. So if you are interested in buying...just ask...I may accept. I recently uploaded some new pictures and I want you all to know I believe some of them make the interior look "washed out". That is not the case...at..all! The interior is dark which makes it hard to get good pictures without washing out the color. This car was COMPLETELY rebuilt and restored in 2006. It is an award winning show car, not a racer, though it would make a very good "daily" driver and it is a LOT of fun to drive! It has less than 1,000 miles on it since the restoration. All the sheet metal is straight and rust free. In fact, in the restoration nearly all the original panels were used, along with the rust free floors. I should add there is no bondo on this car. It is truly straight and clean. This car is for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end this auction early without notice. Engine:Completely rebuilt Era correct big block 402 bored .030 -All New Parts including; Compcam camshaft-All machine work done, rods resized, block bored and honed, line bored, complete valve job, new springs, heads port and polished, double row timing chain gears, hi-volume oil pump, Edelbrock airgap intake and 750 carburetor. Many chrome engine accessories. Take a look! I expect the HP to be around 350-375 but I have not had it on a Dyno and neither did the builder. Transmission: 400-Turbo, completely rebuilt with a mild shift kit installed. Rear end: rebuilt 12 bolt posi-track. The gears are in the 271 range to go with the 3-speed transmission making it excellent for driving on the freeways without taxing the engine. Just another reason this could be your daily driver if you want it to. Also shows it was not built to be a street racer. Exhaust: Flowtech ceramic coated headers, 2.5 inch aluminized exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers. Suspension: All new, including CPP Tubular suspension kit, Front and Rear. Chevelle's are well known for sway and leaning in turns and corners. That is why this Chevelle was rebuilt with a "stiffer" suspension from CCP including "oversized A-arms". All new parts steering. The undercarriage and trunk are powder coated! Inside: All new carpet, headliner, foam and seat coverings. Extra engine gauges. Frame: powder coated along with the trunk! Wheels: American Racing Torqlite 15x7, including the spare. Tires: Front 235/60R70. Back 255/60R70 Brakes: Front Disc Rear Drum Any questions give me a call or text at 785-230-4248.
