Vehicle Detail

This is a 1969 Oldsmobile 442 hardtop coupe. It is silver outside with the dark charcoal stripes on the hood and trunklid. The car was painted about ten years ago and still shines pretty well but a good detailing and polish would help. The interior is in super condition. The dashpad has no cracks or warps and the gauges are clear and working. It has the tick tach and it works but the clock does not. It also has the temp and oil gauges. The front seats and carpeting were redone when the car was painted. The door panels, front and rear are super clean originals. The headliner has two very small flaws. The original am radio does not work and the dash was never cut for a stereo. The body is very nice and straight. No dings or dents anywhere. There are two areas of rust on the inner rear wheelwells. One on each side about one inch in diameter. See the photos. Being in California all its life, that is all. The floors, rockers and trunkpan are rustfree. All the sheetmetal fits well as the car has never been apart. Simply repainted once over the original colors. Doors, trunk and hood all shut like a tight GM car. I would change the hood hinges as they are a bit weak and don't pull the right side of the hood down properly. The 400 cubic inch engine was rebuilt a few years before the car was painted and runs perfect. No smoke, leaks or noises. Perfect. It does have an Edelbrock intake manifold with the Quadrajet carburetor. The transmission is the Turbo 400 and it too needs nothing. Shifts tight and proper. The rear end is a 12 bolt with the boxed control arms and the sway bar. It is a positraction with 3.42 gears. The tires are like new. Ready to drive. It does have front power disc brakes. The car is perfect for every day driving. It runs strong, sounds great and drives great. The following is a list of things I think the car needs. The trunk weatherstrip, 1/4 glass verticle rubbers, trunk mat, hood hinges, radio fixed, correct lugnuts for the rally wheels. I have a very modest reserve on this original quality car. I would drive this car anywhere. Even to your house.
