1976 pontiac trans am,400 v8,auto,p.s.,p.b.,tilt,new tires and brakes,am/fm cassette comes with car,also am/fm,g.m. radio too, was painted a while back original color code 78,,( picture of car without decals is very clean west coast car before painted ), under car very good condition as well as trunk pan nice,,, inside is in very good condition, runs and drives tight,no leaks or smoke any questions please call 773-416-6499 thanks On Nov-23-11 at 13:40:56 PST, seller added the following information: a couple folks asked for trim plate code i added picture of tag hope this helps thanks On Nov-24-11 at 14:53:50 PST, seller added the following information: 455 c.i.,,,,,,, through further investigation( thanks to fellow ebayers ) i assumed engine a 400ci i took the # off the front of the engine and its (YD)and i googled pontiac engine decode and YD and according to website i believe engine a 455 ci i thought 455s ended in 74 for stock t/as thats why i assumed that ,,, but i guess 76 the last one then went to 403s? ,,i also got the # on head at center of exhaust and its 15,,,,which would be 265 h.p. this may explaine why car faster the my grand prix which does have a 400 ci did not realize #s a big issue on middle 70s cars but i guess since the 60s cars are starting to get out of reach for average buyer these are takeing center stage now being i posted #s please investigate various websites to see for yourself before bidding i also posted a picture of tag with #s so anybody can decode hope this helps and happy thanksgiving to all ,,thanks
