Vehicle Detail

I am selling this 1966 International Harvester (IH) Scout 800 because I no longer have room in the garage. I had been storing this Scout for an eventual restoration. The body is in good shape with minimal surface rust. The front floors have the most significant rust, but the rocker panels are pretty solid. This truck appears to be in original condition with no previous restoration attempts. There is a thick diamond plate installed in the rear bed of the truck. This Scout has a 4 cylinder engine and 3 speed manual transmission. The 4x4 and transfer case has a dual stick lever, where one stick controls 2 vs 4 wheel drive and the other controls High vs low gearing. The interior is in pretty good condition. The front seats are in excellent shape with no rips or tears. It appears that all of the original knobs, glove box, and emblems are still in place. This Scout also comes with a rear bench seat. I had this Scout running a couple of years ago and drove it a few miles down the road. I am no mechanic, but I believe it may only need a new fuel filter and tune-up. ANY AND ALL QUESTIONS ARE WELCOMED! PLEASE CHECK OUT THE PICTURES AND LET ME KNOW IF I CAN TAKE ANY OTHER PICS FOR YOU? SEND ME AN E-MAIL IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO VIEW THE SCOUT IN PERSON! I also have a 1970 IH Scout Aristocrat that will be sold next - E-mail me if you are interested! On Nov-21-11 at 18:28:58 PST, seller added the following information: Here is some additional info.... In June 2007, I had the starting motor and brake master cylinder replaced and had a tune-up completed including wires, plugs, condensor. A complete carbuerator rebuild was also completed. The truck has been driven a couple of miles since then. On Nov-23-11 at 07:16:37 PST, seller added the following information: Here is another information update: (11/23/2011) The battery is dead and will most likely need to be replaced. The driver side window crank mechanism is broken but you can slide the window up and down by hand.I do not have the plow blade for this Scout. All windows and glass are in good condition with no major cracks or chips. The Scout is not currently in running/driving condition.
