CONDITION REPORT
If you know custom bagged showtrucks, and more specifically, those with a CHEVROLET somewhere on them, then the name Dino is probably second nature to you, having built some of the worlds finest examples of 60's era pickups the industry has ever seen.
This truck started out on a flatbed with the idea to take an already rare and valuable Stageway-Armbruster Crew-cab truck, and turn it into the frame laying, road hugging, show stopping, and tune thumping beast you will see in the 100 large photos below.
From front to back, not one item was overlooked in creating what turned out to be one of the most famous pickups that has ever been offered for sale.
As you can see in the WEBSHOTS photo link I provided, the truck started out as a really solid stock unit to begin with, which left more time and money to go towards tricking it out!
The body was super solid, and didn't take much to make it smooth and straight again before it was sprayed in flat suede green. After being driven, enjoyed, and shot for Classic Trucks Magazine in that guise, it was treated to a complete 5 layer faux patina finish that EVERYONE thinks is 100% real! It takes a lot of money to make something look that old and worn!
Great pains were taken to make sure the finish would stand the test of time, and each layer was carefully sanded through to show the "wear" underneath. When it was complete, a few layers of clear were applied with a tint coat to make sure you could wipe it off with ease, and even let you buff it to a sheen if you wanted. Also, having it cleared assists in alleviating any future water absorbtion, which is a problem with most suede finished cars.
The top of the truck was carefully cut, and a full custom fabricated aluminum sliding sunroof with canvas top was put in place so that you could embrace the sun on those long cruises! It operates sort of like an old VW Beetle top, and stays shut when you need it to thanks to locking front brackets. Just another one of the things that makes this truck special.
The custom fit tonneau cover fits like a glove, and has a full frame with just four clamps holding it to the bed for ease of removal. The frame has snaps that slide along its edge to make opening and closing it a breeze! Two fiberglass bows are adjustable for a high or low stance on the cover, and it shows like brand new!
The original Stageway-Armbruster Crew Cab is one of the neatest things about the truck, and has 3 fully opening doors along with one fake rear door. Built for Chevrolet at the factory in London, Ontario Canada, these trucks were only produced in small quantities, of which only a small percentage exist today.
Glass is all good on the truck, with only the normal light markings to be found, and no cracks or big chips anywhere. All the windows roll up and down with ease, and the chrome door handles not only look good, but work good too.
The chrome on the truck still shows like new, with no issues or damage to disclose. It gleams in the sunlight, and reflects the streetlights hollow glow with equal aplomb.
Headlights, tail lights, and turn signals all function as they should.
The chassis of the truck is the heart of the project, and where the majority of the money went to create a truck that not only has the slammed style everyone loves, but all the reliablity and driveability of a pro touring rig too!

custom fabricated a tubular suspension system for the trucks front end that ties the firewall, radiator support, and hood hinges together in one super solid and cohesive unit. One look at the pictures, the components, and the attention to detail in finish out will let you know that this is a top notch chassis in every way! Just look at the welds for example - they are PERFECT! Also, look at the how everything fits together like it was factory made! The attention to detail on the chassis is beyond compare.
RideTech components, along with some custom fabbed goodies, were inserted to give the truck its lift. With the extra large tank, (4) four Optima Red Top batteries wired in series, ultra fast valves, and a Heavy Duty compressor set up with industrial grade lines and fittings, the truck goes up or down LIGHTNING fast! Four individual control buttons for each corner of the truck are hidden under the dash, and I cannot express just how quick the system is! You can pull up to a stop sign, drop it to the ground, and air it back up to full ride height in the time it takes you to look left, right, and left again!
PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A TOTAL PRO BUILT SYSTEM, NOT THE TYPICAL BACKYARD BEER BUILD USING THE CHEAPEST KIT YOU COULD ORDER FROM THE PAGES OF TRUCKIN' MAGAZINE.
No expense was spared in the build of this chassis, and with a few thousand miles of problem free cruising to its credit, it is ready to take you wherever you want to go!
Bringing this beast to a stop safely and surely is the responsibility of the 4-wheel Performance disc brake system that was plumbed with all new lines when the truck was built. It will stop on a dime and leave you nine cents change!
The truck rides on MB MOTORING gloss black rims with polished lips on all four corners. Front are 20", with 22" rims out back. They are wrapped in Falken rubber sized 255/35ZR20 and 295/30ZR22 respectively, and the tires have ample tread life remaining.
Under the hood, a GMPP crate V8 was selected for reliability, longevity, and ease of installation. A 350ci 290hp unit provides the perfect amount of power for any situation, while allowing for decent fuel economy on those long road trips. It has been treated to a ton of polished aluminum and show chromed parts to make it pop when the hood is open, and has less than 3,000 miles on it since new.
It is mated to a 350 turbo transmission 3-speed automatic with highway gearing to make sure those long cruises can be done at high speeds! Tranny was completely rebuilt and resealed prior to installation, as was the rear end with its custom made driveshaft.
The truck fires right up, idles cleanly, and has a stealthy rumble to it that lets everyone know something cool is nearby.
It shifts into gear with a push down on the magic 8-ball topped Lokar shifter, and is ready to drive wherever you want to go! This truck cruises like no other, and I have had the pleasure of rolling it down a packed beach boulevard AND a 250 mile round trip on the freeway! IT DRIVES AND RIDES SO GOOD YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE IT!
I have had MANY cool cars and trucks over the years, and this is without a doubt the best handling and riding machine of them all! Solid, smooth, great handling, and none of the BS that you usually get in bagged trucks. THIS ONE WAS DONE RIGHT!!!
Engine and tranny have NO leaks, issues, damage, or problems of any kind that I am aware of, and I would not hesitate for one second to drive this car ANYWHERE in the lower 48! It is READY TO GO!
Inside, the entire interior was completely redone in a killer looking black with green trim that still shows wonderfully with no stains, or damage. Designed and installed by Dino and The Interior Shop, the work is pro quality and shows wonderfully.
Bucket seats up front are super comfortable, and the rear bench has room for three.
Carpet is laid throughout, and has a full DynaMAT heat and sound shield installed beneath it.

It is connected to a series of hidden amplifiers and send it all out to the world with a pair of kick panel mounted 6x9's, rear mounted 5.5" separates with 1" tweets, and an array of subwoofers that are hidden under the rear bench to provide that big bass attack! I have played everything from Cee-Lo to Johnny Cash in it, and it ALL sounds so good, you'd swear the artist was in the truck with you!
A HOT ROD style aluminum tilt colum is topped with a supersize three spoke trucker wheel with bullet center cap.
All of the exterior lights function as they should, and about the only thing electrical that does not currently function are the gauges, because they are not connected. The wiring seems to be intact, and you may be able to just hook them up if you want them, but I did not have time to look into it.
