I have a few more photos that I will try to upload over the next few days, and will upload a scan of the original window sticker shortly. If you would like for me to take any other pictures of specific parts of the car, please just ask. Background, Description and Condition If you’re not that familiar with this model, Edmunds.com has a brief review available online here: http://www.edmunds.com/toyota/land-cruiser/2009/ . I bought this SUV new from authorized Toyota dealer McGee Toyota of Hanover, MA in mid 2009 (end of June). This SUV has been great for us, but we’ve replaced it with a Mercedes GL450, so we don’t need it any more. As you can see from the photographs, the car is in great condition. The front windshield took a hit on the lower passenger side from a pebble on the highway over a year ago; we filed a claim with our insurance company at the time and they sent us to a local auto glass place. The crack was filled with resin by Cape & Islands Glass and has been fine ever since; their repair carries a lifetime warranty. Other than that, this car has never suffered any damage of any sort whatsoever no collisions, no accidents, no anything. It is also mechanically in perfect condition. This Toyota is stored in my heated garage with the battery on a Battery Tender trickle charger, and as you can tell from the photos I take very good care of it (as with everything else I own). The buyer of this SUV will continue to benefit from balance of the original Toyota factory new car warranty (3 years / 36,000 miles) and drivetrain warranty (5 years / 60,000 miles), all from the original in-service date of June 29, 2009. Transaction Details I have the bill of sale from my purchase and the original window sticker, but the title is held by Toyota Financial Services, as the car is financed through them. The car is parked in my garage on Cape Cod, Massachusetts (zip code 02645; map is here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&geocode=&q=02645&ie=UTF8&z=13&output=html&zoom=9&zp=L ), and is available for inspection in person for serious buyers. I have kept the registration and insurance coverage active and there are still MA license plates on the car now, but it is parked in my garage, awaiting sale we are no longer driving it. For someone who is VERY serious (i.e., someone who has put down a deposit), I would be willing to drive the car as far as NYC or Boston to allow an in-person inspection. Price I’ve listed this vehicle as a no-reserve auction starting at $53,500, which I think is an excellent value, given its great condition, low mileage and the existing Toyota warranties. The original MSRP for the car was over $73,000 (before adding sales taxes, excise taxes, etc.). (I will post the original new car window sticker shortly.) At my opening price, I’m obviously hoping that the auction will generate more than one bid, so that the price goes higher than this starting point, but we’re not driving the car any more, so we’ll take the loss and move on at this price if we have to. For what it's worth, Edmunds and Kelley Blue Book have higher value estimates for this car in “Good” condition. Please feel free to re-run these analyses yourself at http://www.edmunds.com/ and http://www.kbb.com/, respectively. Please contact me via eBay’s “contact the seller” feature if you have other questions regarding the car; either way thanks for looking. - Nick P.S. See my note below about scammers, etc. under the heading “A Parting Note”. If you see this car listed somewhere else (e.g., AutoTrader.com, Cars.com, Craigslist, whatever), please DON’T BID ON IT THERE…that’s a scammer trying to fraudulently get your money. This car is ONLY listed here on eBay.) About the Auction, Bidding and Shipping/Delivery Please only place a bid/make an offer if you truly want to own this vehicle. A winning bid enters you into a binding legal contract. Please make sure that you have read the eBay User Agreement before you place a bid. If you have any questions, please contact me through the eBay “Contact the Seller” feature before bidding. Sadly, I must reserve the right to decline or cancel any bids from bidders with negative feedback. If you have no feedback or negative feedback, please contact me directly before you bid. I also reserve the right to end the auction early at my discretion, and to cancel the auction and re-list the vehicle if any nonsense occurs. Of course, taxes, registration, insurance, etc. are the responsibility of the buyer. I don’t know much about long-distance shipping alternatives, but would be willing to work with the buyer to facilitate a long-distance purchase. I would also be willing to deliver the car within a reasonable distance (150 miles? 250 miles?) by driving it there, once payment has been made. Finally, as I did twice before for long-distance buyers of other vehicles, I would be willing to use my American Airlines frequent flier miles to fly the winning bidder to Boston, MA to take possession of the car, once payment has been made. Payment Terms A $500 deposit must be received from the winning bidder within 24 hours of the close of the auction or acceptance of a winning bid, and full payment must be received in cash, via wire transfer or other certified funds within 10 days. Acceptable forms of payment for the deposit are PayPal, wire transfer or cash. For the balance, a wire transfer, cashier’s/certified check or cash are the only acceptable forms of payment. As mentioned above, it may make sense from your end to have part of your purchase price sent directly to Toyota Financial Services to pay off the existing loan I’m happy to help facilitate this. If you plan to use a cashier’s/certified check, I will require a faxed or emailed copy of the check document itself and bank contact information prior to delivery, so that I can verify with the issuing bank that the check is legitimate. If you are financing this purchase, you must be pre-approved and ready to deliver the purchase price in an acceptable form before the end of the auction to bid. Please email me in advance to make sure that any individual concerns you may have are satisfied before bidding. A Parting Note Among my largest eBay transactions over the past few years, I have sold a $46,000 BMW 535xi wagon, a $40,000 Audi A8 sedan, a $50,000 BMW X5 SUV, a $40,000 GMC 2500HD pickup truck, a $30,000 Ford F350 pickup truck, a $15,000 Lexus IS300 car, a nearly-new Honda CBR1100XX motorcycle, a 1-year old Yamaha YZF-R1 motorcycle, a 1-year old Kawasaki ZX-6R motorcycle, a 3-year old BMW K1200RS motorcycle, and a $14,000 pair of like-new Yamaha Waverunners, all to satisfied bidders; I also purchased the BMW motorcycle on eBay as well. I have a 100% feedback rating on all of my transactions because of the way that I do business, and I fully intend to keep it that way. I understand and respect the need for honest and fair dealing (see my feedback comments), and I expect the same from bidders in my eBay auctions. So, if you’re a scammer, phisher, spoofer, ID thief or flake, please try your luck somewhere else. There is simply no way that the car is leaving my possession without the funds in my hands. Period. Also, please don’t waste my time with the B.S. “I sent you a deposit” spoof emails. If you really are from Moscow, or Nigeria, or Romania, or Trinidad, or the moon, then (a) I’m not sure why you’re trying to buy a Toyota Land Cruiser from someone in Massachusetts, and (b) you need to figure out the logistics as to how you would plan to get the funds to me and then take possession of the car, in that order. Thanks for your time.
