1986 BUICK GRAND NATIONAL. Intercooled Turbo 3.8l V6This Buick Grand National has always been a Southwestern car. It was purchased in Las Vegas by the original owner in or around the end of 1986 from a Buick dealer that was here locally. My wife and I purchased the car from him for my wife in 1997 and have owned it ever since. In 2002 we parked the car and we have driven it very little since then. In fact, the last registration on the car was 2002. This car has always been garage kept. Under 100 miles since rebuild.New torque converter.Rebuilt John Craig stock turbo.New Paint.New battery.New shocks.New body bushings.New front and rear, upper and lower control arm bushings.New Walboro 340 fuel pump.New coil pack.New ignition wires.New engine control sensors.Cottons 3 inch single exhaust.Has an alarm.CD player w 7 speakers. 2 door, 2 dash, 2 rear deck 1 sub.The interior of this car is all original and unmolested. Everything works including L.E.D tach and boost gauge. The dash has no cracks, headliner is starting to become soft, seats have no rips or stains, the carpet is in very good shape with a small wear spot near the gas pedal. The door panels are very very nice as well as all the other interior trim. All the glass is in very good shape without cracks. A/C works well and blows cold. Heat works well. Factory steel wheels have good chrome without pitting or rust. I have 3 out of the 4 center caps in the trunk. All trim on the outside of the car is in very good condition without dings or scratches. The front air dams are new. The grand National emblems are in perfect shape. The car was painted about 6 years ago with dupont 2 stage base clear coat and looks very good. One piece of the spoiler on the trunk needs to be resprayed. The engine runs good but could probably use a tuning. The engine has no no oil leaks. This GN is 100% usable as is..........There are a couple things that you may want to fix. Hood shocks may not hold hood up, 3.8l emblems for hood are missing, passengers side visor is loose, 1 center cap for rim missing and will need 4 tires.In 1986 there were only about 5,500 Grand Nationals produced. In 1987 there were over 15,000 produced. The 1986's are a rare breed of GN because of those numbers. In 1986 some of the GN's came with aluminum bumper supports as well as aluminum brake drums ....this one has them.
