It was just the right touch. The Road Runner became a smash hit. Motor Trend called it "The most brazenly pure, non-compromising super car in history...Its simplicity is a welcome virtue." This 1968 Plymouth Road Runner is finished in beautiful 3 Stage PPG Midnight Blue Tinted Metallic, Pearl White interior and Dark Blue carpet. This rare southern classic has all original sheet metal with no rust or rust repair ever before undergoing a bare metal professional, nut and bolt, Rotisserie Restoration including Exterior, Interior, Chrome, Mechanics, and all new wiring of the entire car to factory specifications. Originally born with a 383 High Output and 4 speed transmission, during restoration a vintage 426 Hemi with Indy Aluminum Heads and Intake, Dual 4 Barrel Edelbrock Carburetors, MSD Ignition, TTI Ceramic Coated Headers, and a Ram clutch were added to support and complement the big Hemi. There is around 700 miles on the car since completion. Options include, rebuilt 391 Sure Grip rear end, Custom AM-FM/CD/I-Pod stereo, Pistol Grip Shifter, and Boyd Coddington Wheels. Absolutely everything is rebuilt or new on this no expense spared 4 year restoration. All aspects of this highly optioned car were attended to during restoration including the interior frome Legandary Interior is not only totally correct, but likely much better than the factory ever put out. The chrome and bright work are equally impressive. All mechanics, suspension, and braking components have been meticulously gone through with all systems performing robustly and all guages working as they should. The engine is ready to score big at any Mopar meet, and the underside is spectacular. It drives as good as it looks with professional attention confirming the high state of tune. Best of all is the satisfying rumble of a finely tuned high output Hemi representing the pinnacle of American Muscle. Over $120,000 was spent on the restoration. The indoor photos give the true representation of the color which is washed out by the camera outdoors. Just applying the paint on the Rotisserie everywhere on the car was done at a cost of $20,000! It is as nice as any Road Runner at any price! Plymouth paid Warner Bros. $50,000 for rights to decorate the new 1968 model with the name and likeness of a cartoon bird. It was just the right touch. The Road Runner became a smash hit. Motor Trend called it "The most brazenly pure, non-compromising super car in history...Its simplicity is a welcome virtue."

This 1968 Plymouth Road Runner is finished in beautiful 3 Stage PPG Midnight Blue Tinted Metallic, Pearl White interior and Dark Blue carpet. This rare southern classic has all original sheet metal with no rust or rust repair ever before undergoing a bare metal professional, nut and bolt, Rotisserie Restoration including Exterior, Interior, Chrome, Mechanics, and all new wiring of the entire car to factory specifications. Originally born with a 383 High Output and 4 speed transmission, during restoration a vintage 426 Hemi with Indy Aluminum Heads and Intake, Dual 4 Barrel Edelbrock Carburetors, MSD Ignition, TTI Ceramic Coated Headers, and a Ram clutch were added to support and complement the big Hemi. There is around 700 miles on the car since completion. Options include, rebuilt 391 Sure Grip rear end, Custom AM-FM/CD/I-Pod stereo, Pistol Grip Shifter, and Boyd Coddington Wheels. Absolutely everything is rebuilt or new on this no expense spared 4 year restoration.

All aspects of this highly optioned car were attended to during restoration including the interior frome Legandary Interior is not only totally correct, but likely much better than the factory ever put out. The chrome and bright work are equally impressive. All mechanics, suspension, and braking components have been meticulously gone through with all systems performing robustly and all guages working as they should. The engine is ready to score big at any Mopar meet, and the underside is spectacular. It drives as good as it looks with professional attention confirming the high state of tune.
