Vehicle Detail
1958 Plymouth Savoy 2 Door Hardtop Great to finish into a CHRISTINE!! 318 Engine Automatic Three Speed Trans New Interior I bought this car to complete into a Christine project as it was already a red and white car and has a new red interior. I ended up with a 1957 that I decided to keep for now. A hard decision as only the 58 can ever be a true Christine, but I can only afford to keep one for now. This is a very nice car as can be seen from the photos. Paint shines nice, seats and door panels are new. Newly refurbished radio works perfectly. Car starts, drives and shifts nicely. The carb loads up a little when warm and may need choke adjusted. Overall very solid, nice floor pans and trunks. While the car looks great I would call it a very nice 10 footer as if you get close and look there has been some body work done that needs some attention. Not many areas, mostly the two lower quarters and one area of the passenger fender next to hood. Nice paint, fair body work in those few areas. Rest of car looks very nice. As mentioned, newer seats and door panels, very nice roof. Could use a new red carpet as the one in there is black and older, no holes, just not new. Chrome around windows, vents etc. is excellent. Nice hubcaps and newer tires. Rear bumper looks like it was restored, very nice. Front bumper has a minor tweak and is lower on drivers side, hard to see in pics as it is not that much, but I want to list any and all negatives. Licensed and titled in my name so you know this is a clean deal, not some have to chase the old owner down pass through. All glass nice, power brakes work great. Overall this car is a good solid 7.5 or 8 out of 10. A very good car to drive as is, I would just have the front bumper straightened and maybe rechromed and put in a red carpet and you can be very proud of it as is. OR you could go the distance and really have a nice Christine when you are done. I have owned about twenty 1957 or 1958 Plymouth Hardtops, seem to have a weakness for them and have a true love for the low slung forward look style of these cars. It is a nice solid car, not a rust bucket and you will be very happy with the car, especially at the reserve I have set it at. If I did not have the 57 it would be staying in my garage. I would recommend DAS shipping services. I can take them to a local depot (Troutdale) and this will save you money, plus it it a lot less hassle. $200.00 deposit immediately after auctions end. Rest via cashiers check, wire transfer etc. DO NOT SEND MORE THAN $200 VIA PAYPAL!! Car is for sale locally as well and auction is subject to immediate termination. I have described the car to the best of my ability. Check out my feedback and you will see I am a straight shooter. As with any 53 year old car it will have its quirks, but this is a nice 58 Plymouth. If you have any questions feel free to email me and I will send you my phone number, if you send yours I will call or text. Please be patient, I work a lot of hours but I am pretty quick at responding. Best of luck and happy bidding! On Nov-19-11 at 12:17:13 PST, seller added the following information: I have received a lot of questions asking for pics of engine, trunk and undercarriage. Ebay limits me to 24 pictures so you will need to go to photo bucket and search for clifdavis under user name. On the main page of my account are a lot of pics. They will show there are absolutely no holes in the floors or trunk. Also, if you have any direct questions you may text or call me at 503-804-2457.
