This week I travelled far and wide to meet a tall guy in a small town. He had this white hot camaro and was itching to sell. He fired it up and it roared to a start and I was hooked. We made a quick deal and laughed at the riveted dashboard before I began the long trek back to home. Turns out he had rebuilt the entire top end of the engine and had run out of luck and a job. He said the camaro always ran great but he felt the carb was running rich. Indeed there were many new parts on the engine and this thing has been firing right up for me every morning. He told me he never got out on the freeway, but had hit 60 mph around town. The exhaust looks cobbled together and will need a redo. The interior is completely thrashed and that is it's biggest downfall. The body of this one is quite nice and if you feel necessary a repaint shouldn't break the bank. It does have its share of dings and scratches and someone got after it with some orange spray paint. When I got this one home all my neighbors lined up with their perspective offers. There were some good offers but I am leaving it up to you car nuts here to have the last say. This one will need your TLC all around but it's a stunning nod to disco, long nights of partying, and everything 80's. I've had quite a bit of luck with this model and I am sure this one will not disappoint. As long as you're aware the interior is a complete redo, this one shouldn't be over your head. I haven't been able to get in to the trunk but I will and should have pictures straight away. If there's a briefcase full of cash and you know what, I'm keeping it.
