Vehicle Detail

Up for grabs in a 1969 A108 van. This baby’s got a 225 slant six and a little three on the tree transmission. I purchased this van with the intent on fully restoring it and blah blah blah. I had to move across country and leave this beloved beauty behind so this van is located at my buddy's house in Bastrop, Texas. I poured a good deal of money into her before I left and this thing seems like a pretty solid daily driver as it sits. I drove it around town for a week or so once I got it going and there are less than 150 miles on all these new parts: starter, rebuilt the carb and put a new air filter in, battery and battery leads, radiator, thermostat, water-pump, overflow tank, hoses, cooling fan, fabbed up an air scoop to get plenty air into the dog house, I converted to a GM 3 wire alternator to eliminate the Mopar charging garbage and wired in an idiot light just so you know its working, a new belt, I bought four new 215 tires and have less than 100 miles on them, new master cylinder and passenger side front wheel cylinder, ballast resistor, exhaust flange gasket, and changed the oil and filter. I bought the van from an older fellow and he said he had just had a new exhaust put on (which sounds really good) and new gas tank. The body in all is in pretty dang good shape you can pretty much pull all of the dents out and getting this thing tip top again wouldn’t be much of a problem. The floor pans in the front are pretty bad but I have them temporarily fixed at the moment and making some new ones would be a breeze. The seats are in rough shape and have covers on them. The speedo and instrument cluster currently aren't working but shouldn't be a biggy to fix and there is an aftermarket temperature gauge that works and a gas level gauge that may work haven't really messed with it. You can tell by the photos that the interior needs help but really no biggy. All the lights work (besides the caution switch) and that's because I haven't fooled around with it. The thing needs a good scrub down on the inside and it would look a lot better there is definitely some kind of adhesive from whatever carpet was in this thing back whenever. The driver side windshield has a crack but its flat glass so no problem finding a new one or getting one cut if you decide to replace it. In all this is a dang cool van. Fix it up or boogie around in it as is. The slant six is torquey as all get out and the 3 on the tree just seems neater in a van for some reason. Happy bidding and feel free to contact me for questions. Thanks.
