Car is listed locally and may be sold prior to auction close. **NOTE - This is an original convertible** They used 5 cars for this movie, 3 convertibles and 2 chopped coupes. The intention was to destroy the chopped coupes, however, in the confusion of shooting the movie, they accidentally totalled one convertible and one chopped coupe. Therefore, 2 original convertibles and one chopped coupe remain. CVS still has the chopped coupe and don't plan on selling it because it was never reinforced properly. They have it on display. The two remaining convertibles were put up for auction for charity of which this is one. They were referred to as "beauty cars" because they weren't damaged during production. They did rip up the interior, but upon completion of the movie, they completely restored the interior of this car - new top, new seats, etc. Again, the benefit of this one is that you can tell most of the time when this car is on screen. You can't tell when the others are on screen. Great car, great story, great fun. I just don't get the chance to show it off like I used to, so I want it to go to someone who will share it with the world.....
