Vehicle Detail
Easily restorable rare car, minimal rust in the usual places; bottom of the rear window tracks and trunk floor about a 6"x 10" area. Original car and showing the 42 years of wear. I bought it as a restoration project back in '05 and shortly after had reoccuring health problems! The car is really pretty straight, surface rust that is seen in pictures has no holes through them floors are solid and without holes (i wouldn't have bought it if it had extensive rust). I took the pictures to show the rust spots and damage, the car is in original paint so nothing is hidden! The guy I bought this from had rebuilt the engine, replaced the clutch, replaced a couple of ball joints and bushings, replaced the brakes on the front (I have the original 4 piston calipers and rotors), replaced the truck lid, put a set of non-original seats in it, did a title search, and got it tagged. Shortly after he ran into a need for fast cash and sold it to me. I drove it for about 3 months to work out any kinks and break the motor in. The guy I bought it from also did a lot of research on it, it has dealer installed power steering (documented)! I bought it in '05 and it's been inside ever since and a year before i got it! Parts needed for restoration: Mirrors Interior From donor car (non original front seats now) Bumpers Exhaust manifolds Air cleaner bottom (have the ram air top) Time, money, and tools If you hae any questions feel free to call or text me after 5:00 P.M. C.D.T. 316-833-0540 On Nov-13-11 at 13:08:43 PST, seller added the following information: I have misplaced the documentation on the dealer installed power steering, i did throw some gas and a battery in it sat 11-12-11 and fired it up it started easy and idled good!! This car has extremely good floorboards as you can see in the added pictures. If you've ever wanted one easy to restore this is the car. It Is not a clone or a rust bucket! Have had lots of calls with people questioning torque bars, transmission, motor, tags, rolled fender lips, door tags, decals or paint, ect... It is the real deal no b.s. original paint as you see it. It's never had any body work done which means no hidden dents filled with bondo! The only patch on the entire car was done on the floor/firewall area by the trans hump (bellhousing area looks like a clutch came apart not rust). If you are a serious bidder CALL ME I'll take the time to answer your questions, It has met it's reserve, i set it at a realistic figure instead of a Barret-Jackson B.S. figure! I have around $4800 worth of recipts for the motor rebuild; balanced, bored .030, turned .010-.010, forged pistons, ARP rod bolts, cam with as close to stock grind as poss., has R4B aluminium intake too much too list like i say call if you are serious! Might take partial trade for certain items! On Nov-13-11 at 20:55:18 PST, seller added the following information: I have also had questions about the origan of the car, the issuance of title from the AMC dealer was to someone living in Wellington Ks. The car has never left Kansas or been titled in any other state. The title search also reveals the fact that these are the original miles. On Nov-14-11 at 17:12:21 PST, seller added the following information: Ok i've got 55 pics in 6 zip files ready to email out shoot me a message to colt1878@aol.com if you've asked me for pics and didn't get them i'm sorry, mail me again i'll get them to you. Thanks againfor the bids!
