Vehicle Detail
Available for purchase is a professionally modified 1989 Iroc Z28 Camaro Convertible that was featured in the Street Heat section of the November 2002 issue of GM High-Tech Performance. THIS CAR IS NICE. It has an LT1 350 and a 6 speed manual transmission! The paint and body is 100% original with some scratches / chips and a few insignificant dings. There are no Iroc door decals as it was ordered that way and I have the paperwork that shows this.It has spent all of its life in a garage with the exception of 12/2010 through 6/2011 when it was covered outside. Although the pictures don't really show, the car and interior is dirty / dusty and needs cleaning / vacuuming. The interior is good with the exception of one small hole in the driver’s seat. The top has a few tears on the lower sides but is otherwise in descent condition. The adhesive that attaches it to the steel lower rib is giving up and should be resealed by an upholstery shop. I had it redone once before many years ago. The alpine cd player face isn't shown in the pictures but is included as is a car cover. I purchased this car from the original owner with less than 3,000 miles sometime in the neighborhood of 1996. I had it professionally modified by a speed shop that specializes in computer controlled muscle cars in 2002. Every gauge, sensor and electronic device is 100% functional. You won’t find wire nuts under the dash or hood. This isn’t your typical butcher job. I have had two Dealer Techs that didn’t believe the motor wasn’t factory original. The roll cage has no swing-outs so entry is tough to impossible for some. I have no problems personally. Any quality performance shop could easily modify this if needed. This car made one pass at the local drag strip and turned a 13.4 @ 108 mph on garbage tires. I do have the slip to back this up. I’m confident with real tires and an experienced driver this is easily a high 12 second car. It starts, runs and drives excellent. It uses no oil and is as reliable as a brand new vehicle. It has 57,350.0 original miles. I have sunk well over $15,000.00 into this car and every receipt is included. This figure does not include the $14,000.00 I paid for the car itself. Feel free to make an offer. Also included is the original GM manual, original window sticker, and EVERY ORIGINAL COMPONENT to make this factory original again if desired. I will accept cash or certified bank check only for this transaction and I will under no circumstance release this car until funds clear in full. This car is sold as is with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time for any reason. I prefer (although not require) potential buyers to come and inspect this car prior to making offers.
