1950 Mercury period correct mild custom. I bought this car a few years ago and had plans to show this eventually however the Military has kept me far too busy. So far I replaced all the rotted metal work. Car has brand new inner and outer rockers, all new wiring 12v, new wheel bearings, new brakes, new clutch, Fenton Headers, msd ready to run dist, full exhaust, new glass, carpet, seats are professionally upholstered. Car is dropped on blocks and has an overdrive 3speed however the overdrive is not hooked up at the moment. There is no AC and the heaterblower motor has been removed. Has 12v wipers just needs arms and wiper blades. I am including a 1 piece modified grill with the sale. Also I will include the side trim that needs some straightening and can be installed by new owner. Missing a window crank handle and a few other misc finishing touches. I recently painted the car but its far from show perfect. Paint is chipping at the edges where the hood meets the cowl, and some flaws. Car has clean NJ title. Does not smoke and does not overheat. I installed a Oil Pressure and 2 water temp Stewart Warner gauges where the original radio was. 1 H20 temp gauge for the left and one for the right head. New full exhaust, with period correct glass packs , exhaust sounds Amazing! Idles very low and can barely hear it run, but gas it up and you will know whats under the hood. New mechanical Fuel pump, and rod... Basically anything and everything that needed to be done has been done mechanically. I installed new glass, carpet, seats are professionally upholstered. Car is dropped on blocks and has an overdrive 3speed however the overdrive is not wired to 12V at the moment since the solenoid on the original OD trans is 6 volt. However hooked up to the non OD rear in the car it drives at 60mph no prob. There is no AC and the heaterblower motor has been removed. Has 12v wipers just needs arms and wiper blades. Snow storm last week caused a branch to fall on the rear decklid, dented and cracked the paint :( Easy fix however I'm not able to perform the repair, also might need to swap out battery.
