Early model 1965 Dodge D-100 Custom Sports Special (CSS). Small rear window. Dual front headlights. Not sure of original mileage, odometer stopped at 29,000 miles. Engine is the original 318 poly, wide block, semi-hemi, poor man's hemi, whatever you want to call it, with a 2 barrel carb. Original A-727 T/F 3 speed Automatic. everything is original except the hood and right front fender, which are from a different truck but the same year. In drivable condition. dome light, electric water temp, speedometer, fuel gauge, and horn are the only things that do not work. Everything else is operational. Typical rust in typical places. Runs and shifts smooth. Came from the factory with bucket seats, center console, reinforced frame, and carpeting (removed). The headliner inside the cab has been removed. The button on the center console was removed. I installed a new water pump and heater core about 3 thousand miles ago, as well as an entire tune up, spark plugs, wires, rotor, cap, points, oil/filter. It has the oil filter adapter installed for normal spin on oil filters. I bought it in Nevada City, CA., drove it a little in San Diego, CA., and it is now in Whidbey Island, WA. I drove it from Sacramento to San Diego 6 years ago with no issues whatsoever, except bad gas mileage. It has newer tires all around and wheel bearings/races, drums, pads, and wheel cylinders up front. newer U-joints on driveline. Mechanically it's a reliable truck. the paint is faded and rusted through in a lot of spots. the floor boards are a bit rusty and rusted through in a couple areas. The original factory rally stripes are still visible on the top of the back of the cab. I'm the 3rd owner. i have all the reciepts and paperwork from the original owner. also, another 318 poly engine comes with it, i was planning on having 2 engines, one built to all original specs, and the other for a hot rod, however, plans and priorities changed, so not the extra one i had purchased is tore down in pieces. always stored inside. The truck doesn't look pretty, needs a lot of work to be in original condition, but the CSS is an extremely rare, hard to find truck. It's also on the CSS registry, so the VIN has been verified!!! I have the title in hand, still titled in CA. The radiator has been repaired, it had a small leak, as well as the brackets that hold it have been repaired. I hate to see it go because it's been a dream of mine to restore it and drive it and one day give it to my kids, however the dream has been lost. for the last 5 years it's been sitting. i start it up and drive it about 5-10 miles every 2 weeks just to keep things working. The white steering wheel that is currently installed will be removed, and the factory original black steering wheel that is pictured will be in it's place. I have some extra parts that i acquired over time, original gas pedal, gas tank sending unit, chrome dash bezel, extra gauge face plate and set of gauges, original AM Radio, original shop manual, electronic ignition, and maybe one or two other things. there is NO RESERVE, TOP BID WINS! if nobody bids, it's getting crushed. please feel free to ask any questions. i'll take more pictures and send via email if you need specific pictures of specific areas.
