1957 VW OVAL Beetle, Almond Green 1957 VW Beetle, original matching body and chassis/pan (rear pan sections behind front seats were replaced with correct replacement metal sections). Why buy a project when you can have something like this oval window for not much more. MANY NEW PARTS!! I have owned this VW for about 5 years, and am the second owner in the last 20 years. Was last titled in 1991. Clean and clear Florida title in my name. Time to let her go so that I can concentrate and use the cash for other projects. Correct and original four tab hood with Wolfsburg Crest, original bullet front fenders, original W decklid, original snowflake taillights. Original and correct front apron and rear "H" apron. "Flat 4" wood slat roof rack. Recent (within the last year or so) Dupont paint, VW "Almond Green" paint ('57 VW Beetle only paint color) with slightly off white 2 tone sides. Always garaged. The car is very clean, built to be a very nice driver, but could be shown if wanted. Paint is nice and shiny, no chips or cracks. Still needs a few minor details...needs a wiper motor and correct wipers (ones on car are a bit too long), needs shocks, front bumper overriders. Tires are ok, and have good thread, but showing their age. The interior pictures were taken before the carpet kit was installed, in order to show condition under carpet! New Wolfsburg West dash speaker grill and speedometer trim. New black front seat covers, new black carpet kit, new gray 2-tone original style door panels with pockets. New white headliner (not perfect). New driver keyed door handle (car locks up). New door seals, decklid seal, taillight seals, taglight seal, front bullet seals, vent window seals, door window felt seals, door handle seals, front hood handle seal. New West Coast Metric window seals with new WCM aluminum trims. Mechanical: Detailed 1600 single port motor with new fuel lines and new fuel pump, new chrome pulley, new belt, new chrome backing plate, new chrome cylinder tins, new spark plug wires, new distibutor cap, new chrome alternator stand, new EMPI muffler. Converted to 12V with alternator. New battery, new starter. Transmission seems to be the original transmission, and shifts smoothly with no popping out of any gear. New hard brake lines front to back, new brake hoses front and back, new brake wheel cylinders. Lowered one notch in the rear, and with new 2 1/2" lowered spindles in the front (needs new shocks front and back). I also have the stock original spindles and are included with the car. Can help with delivery to shippers for shipping arrangements for out of country buyers. Can deliver locally within 200 or so miles for $1.00 per roundtrip mile (will need to receive a non-refundable deposit before delivery).
