This is now a second re-listing.....apparently some idiot using the bidder ID of johnowen(with 4 numbers behind the name) is being investigated for fraudulent transactions and hit the Buy It Now box and ended my previous auction...subsequently, the listing was deleted for a second time, So here we go again. The bad guy has been reported and blocked!!! After 14 years, I decided to replace this van with something new. This van has served me well and at this point still runs and drives great, it was just time for a change. The van is what Chevrolet calls Cyclamen (kind of a Maroon) in color with an interior that is called Neutral. I purchased the van used in 1998 with something like 6000 miles on it. The van was immediately updated for my use. A cargo partition was installed, it happens to have an opening door, but I disabled it for my needs. After that a buddy of mine built all of the custom shelves that are on the inside of the cargo area. While he was at that I was working on the passenger area. It has been fully carpeted, even the cargo partition, this make for a pretty quite environment up front. I also purchased and installed a factory premium head unit with a cassette player and the dash mounted cd player. Another buddy of mine that worked at the Astro van assembly plant here in Baltimore installed factory power locks which I had purchased from the local Chevy parts counter. After the inside was complete, I painted the lower portion of the van in Galaxy Silver and added some splash graphics for some interest. I then pinstriped the break with accenting vinyl stripes. Then on went a set of custom wheels, there have been several sets on over the years, but the wheels that are on it now are American Racing directional aluminum wheels mounted in a set of very recent Cooper Cobra RWL tires. A couple of years ago my buddy came across a "wrecked from the rear" passenger van. I purchased the front grille assembly with the composite headlights and chrome strip. Me and my buddy put it in the van, all of the factory attaching points and wiring were used. I also got the overhead console from the wreck and modified it to fit in the cargo van. Again all of the factory stuff was used to install it. About a year ago or so, I installed the computer desk..that stays with the van. Recently, the alternator, battery, shocks and stabilizer links as well as both idler arms have all been replaced as maintenance items. Just 3 months ago the plugs, wires, cap and rotor were all replaced...at this time I had the fuel injection system cleaned. I am selling this van Maryland State Inspected, so it is ready to go for a Maryland purchaser. For those of you out of state, you can take comfort in knowing that Maryland's inspection process is very in-depth, so you can be confident that it likely would pass in your state. You should know that since I have owned the van it has been in just one accident...an elderly man backed into the right side cargo door at the local convenience store. I had the work done at the local body shop and the work is undetectable. The only other damage on the truck is on the left lower 1/4 panel. This happened when a tire blew out on me. The separating tire tread did the damage and is relatively minor in nature. You may notice that the accent stripes are missing on the right side in the photos. I frankly never got around to replacing them after the bump. I replaced the stripes just yesterday!!!. I am hoping that all of the bidders that had participated in the earlier auction are reading this......Thank You for your bids and let's hope that the bad guys stay away this time!!!!! I require a deposit of 1/3 of the selling price within 3 days of the end of the auction, your check is OK. Cash is King here, so the balance in cash is required at the pick-up of the van. The van will not be released, however till the deposit check has successfully cleared the bank. If you are far out of state and are in need of shipping, that is your responsibility...in this case the entire purchase price must be wire transferred (your bank to mine), and I will not release the title or the van until all funds have successfully cleared the bank. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS OF ANY KIND NEED NOT BID>>>>I WANT NO PART OF AN INTERNATIONAL TRANSACTION. IF YOU CHOSE TO BUY IT NOW, AN IMMEDIATE WIRE TRANSFER FROM YOUR BANK TO MINE WILL BE REQUIRED!!! On Nov-06-11 at 17:46:12 PST, seller added the following information: TO ALL BIDDERS...SINCE THE FRAUDULENT BIDDER HAS INTERUPTED THE AUCTION OF THIS VAN TWICE, PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF MY SELLER ID AND CONTACT ME IN THE EVENT IT IS INTERUPTED AGAIN!!!! THANK YOU FOR YOUR BIDS AND PATIENCE !!!!
