Vehicle Detail
1976 Honda CB500T 6,500 original miles I bought this Honda CB500 Twin with 5,500 miles on it, it was always garaged so everything was in amazing condition to start with. After a year long build, just about every part of this bike has been massaged. As for the motor, it was running perfectly but I wanted to coat the cylinders black so instead of taping it off and painting it. I took top end apart, cleaned everything, the cylinders were professionally honed, a new set of rings and reassembled with all new gaskets This bike runs super strong, Rides beautifully and Handles great Mods:Mukunni 32 mm Carbs Jetted perfectlyK&N Pod FiltersFrame Completely reworked into a Lowered Hardtail, all Welding was done Professionally at Flying Monkey Fabrications using High Quality Tubing with solid steel bungs welded in at the splicesThe Wheelbase was kept at the stock CB550T length. It handles amazing at all speeds. The Pegs (folding) and Brake Pedal are stock Honda CB750Hand Made License plate Bracket with Antique TaillightFork Legs have been Hand Shaved, New Seals installed, Dampener Rod Spacers to shorten them an keep them stiff, a great balance to the rearDrum Brake Front Wheel from a Honda CB450, Vented with stainless steel meshTop and Bottom Triple Trees were Hand Shaved, Reshaped and either Polished or PaintedTarozzi Clip-on HandlebarsVintage Bates Headlight, Off, High and Low beams workFaux Oil Tank holds the Mini Battery an other Electrical bitsBiltwell Seat pan was completely Reshaped (they are very long an a bit wide) the foam re-contoured and covered in Black Leather, Hand StitchedBiltwell Solo Seat BracketStarter has been removed an I machined a Aluminum Plug to replace it, even has an O-Ring groove, Kick Start OnlyFinned Side CoverDyna CoilsNew ClutchNew ChainAll Balls Tapered Steering Stem BearingsRectifier / Voltage regulator from Oregon Motorcycle SupplyCeriani Headlight Ears Extras:2 Identical CB175 Tanks, both have been pied and will bolt right on, One with Honda Badges the other with out.2 Sets of Exhaust Pipes, CL450 up pipes with Leg Guard an Reworked Tips, Downpipes with Long Straights, Both w/o Baffles, both sound wicked!Hand Made Custom Leather Side Saddle Bag with Hard Plastic Backing. Perfect for a few tools or a sandwich an a couple Tall boys The Bike was Completely assembled, test rode for a month then Dissasembled and the Frame, Motor Mounts, Oil Tank, Back Fender, Pegs and Brake Pedal an a handful of other bits were all Powder Coated at Concept PC in Ontario. Then Reassembled. Since completed it's been ridden off an on for over a year without any issues. It's a rider, It was made to ride. Everything was done with the utmost of craftsmanship but not over polished or over themed. It's just a clean, functionally fun motorcycle that I hope someone will enjoy. I'm just not riding that much an I feel like it's time to pass it on. There's a pic of the extra tank. I shot the sides black, but now I'm feeling like painting them a color, Could be the new owners decision.
