PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE LISTING BEFORE BIDDING: This 1988 Ford F-150 has been donated to our non-profit organization. I have personally driven this truck, and it seems to run and drive fine. This truck has attitude! The truck has been lifted (see pics... I'm not sure if it is a 4" lift or a 6" lift), and does ride rough. The odometer indicates the mileage to be 164,000, but we understand that the actual mileage is around 175,000 due to the lift. This truck has the 4.9 liter inline 6 cylinder engine, and a manual transmission. The clutch seems pretty good, and the truck seems to shift as it should. The battery appears to be newer, and the truck has a valid Virginia state inspection good until March of 2012. This truck also has the manual locking hubs for 4 wheel drive, but I have not tried switching the hubs. The exterior is in fair condition for its age. There are the usual rust issues on the body and tailgate (see pics), and the clearcoat on the paint is bad and peeling (again, see pics). Both rear quarter panels have extensive bondo repair above the rear wheel arches, and are covered over in black body tape (see pics). There is also a pressure dent on the passenger side rear quarter panel, and the lower trim on the cab and front fenders is missing on both sides (again, see pics). The interior is in decent condition with the normal wear that would be expected on a truck of this age. The 4 wheel drive boot cover is torn, and should be replaced (see pics). The topper is in good condition, and the truck also has a bed liner. Again, the truck has attitude, but is not without it's faults: I noticed that the "rear antilock" light comes on intermittently (not sure what that's about...). There is a constant belt squeal from the serpentine belt (yikes), and the power steering pump makes a grinding sound and seems to have a slow leak. There is also a coolant smell coming from the engine compartment after the truck has been driven, however the temperature guage stays in the normal range. The windshield wipers work fine on the "high" setting, but are hit or miss on "low" and "intermittent". The radio / tape player does not work, the interior dome lights do not work, the fuel gauge for the rear fuel tank does not work, the inside / outside air lever is disconnected, and the driver's door swivel mirror is broken at the base, and will need to be replaced. The truck has an alarm system that has been disconnected. Also, the parking brake does not hold. We understand that in cold weather, the truck usually has to be started twice, but runs fine after the second start. Also, due to the oversize tires, the speedometer is not accurate (60 mph = 70 mph). Most of these things should be relatively simple fixes, and with some body work and paint this will be ONE SHARP TRUCK!
