Up for auction is this 1960 Buick LeSabre 2 Dr H/T Factory Air conditioning, Automatic, Power brakes & Power steering. I looked every where for 9 years for this particular year / make car & wanted a totally rust free car to start with. I ended getting this from the orignal owner & complete in every respect. Not one item missing from this car. It was just an old tired car with no alterations or abuse. I wanted a safe, reliable, comfortable & most out rageous looking car @ any car show or meet. So Chevy's & Ford's were out. Every Tom, Dick & Harry has one & their Dad's & Grand Dad before them had one of those. How many of these have you seen? We started by pulling out the engine & transmission. The engine was sent out to Herb Glassman( the best race engine builder in the South) who completely re built it from the ground up. The transmission was fine so we only serviced it & put new filter & fluid. All belts & hoses were replaced. The suspension must have been re built before I got the car, it was very tight & drives perfect. We replaced the complete brake system which included all Shoes, wheel cylinders, hoses , lines, master cylinder & power booster. Next we put on a new set of tires, new battery & test drove it. It was just as I wanted it. Then we took it apart to do any bodywork required (very minimal dings & dents) strip all the paint to bare metal, metal etch, primed & finally finished in 2 tone (orignal) color with base/ clear. All the rubber seals, stoppers , bumpers & window felt were replaced. Heavy sound deadening material was used under the carpet & over the head liner. All door's & 1/4 panel interior metal was coated with sound deadening rubberized under coat. I wanted the interior as silent as a new car. The carpet has been installed & the upholstery will be installed in the next few days. I can go on & on about the car but I will let the pictures do the talking, unless you want to talk to me !! It will take very little TLC if you plan to make it a show car!! I sincerely hope it will find a good home. I will be advertising this car in the local papers for the 1st time & will sell it locally if the price is right & end the auction. Good luck to all you bidders.
