Shown here is a 1974 AM General MUTT M151 A2 Military Vehicle. This MUTT has the AMC Jeep logo on the engine. The engine is a 4 cylinder and appears to be all original and correct. It has all the waterproof componants. Independant suspension, the hooks on the rims that the military hooked the parachutes onto to drop the vehicle. Body seems ok and has been welded back together. We researched what exactly this vehicle was as we'd never seen one before. We found websites where they were selling the MUTT M151 A2 in scrap condition for thousands of dollar. We happened to come across this MUTT and the owner was just pulling it out of his yard to sell it. He said it ran about 3 years ago. This is obviously a restoration project. The tranny & drivetrain is all still intact, the engine is complete & has oil & fluids still in it. Radiator appears to be in good condition. Has the military switches & gauges all on the dash. This MUTT still has the tags on the dash. It is a little hard to read the one on the dash..I believe we got the serial number correct. It also has the tag on the inside fender well. Altenator is HUGE! So, it appears to be the original military altenator. Also have parts manuals that will go with the MUTT. There was no title with the vehicle. Previous owner stated that you'd have to apply for a lost title and since it has all the manufacturers tags, this should not be a problem. Basically, what you see is what you get. We bought it and put it in the barn and have decided we have too many old Willys Jeeps & John Deere tractors to restore now and just don't have the time to get into this project. If you are looking for an excellent machine..don't bid..this is a great investment and with time you will have a truly unique & rare machine. Don't bid if you are going to place a bid & then try to come & find more issues to pick it apart...this is what it is..a used MUTT that needs to be completed.
