1966 Chevrolet K20 firetruck 4x4 15,895 ORIGINAL MILES. I purchased this truck from the original owners (Oyster Bay Fire Co) 13 years ago. This truck was used as their service light truck, meaning it had an onboard generator with lights and tools used at fire and accident scenes. This truck has been through a complete body off the frame restoration. This truck was a great candidate for this type of restoration due to its low mileage, high maintenance and having always been garaged. Restoration to include all metal (cab, fenders, frame etc..) brought to bare metal then etch primed. Frame and underside of truck done in emron with gloss flatner to achieve GM black finish. Truck itself is finished in base coat clear coat. Truck was painted panel by panel to insure full coverage everywhere. Body work and assembly has been professionally done. This truck is still rolling on its original tires. Truck came equipped from factory with many options as shown on S.P.I.D. sheet (service parts identification sticker). I added other, what we would call Chevrolet dealer options, those being, tachometer, clock and locking hubs. This truck was restored very GM authentic. This truck is turn key ready to show, or just go. I have the original bill of sale, original certificate of sale and S.P.I.D. These spid sheets were attached lightly from the factory to the back side of the glove box door. It is very, very rare to see this document survive in one of these trucks, as they would fall off easily and be gone. This truck was purchased new at Chamberlin Chevrolet and still has emblem under the hood. And yes, this truck was restored around this emblem. This is a highly optioned, low miles, professionally restored, documented truck. In my opinion, one of the best in the country.
