Up for auction is an absolutely gorgeous 1957 Chevrolet Corvette with matching numbers!! (engine). The power train is comprised of a 283/270 eight cylinder solid lifter engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. It is #1501 of the 6339 built and has been maintained in excellent condition by the present owner for 13 years. All records over the past 13 years on the maintenance performed have been retained by the current owner. This car is in super condition and on a scale of 1-6 with 6 being a parts car and 1 a perfect show car, this car is surely a 2+ vehicle. Much attention has been given to keeping this car in it's original condition and it is a superb driver. The car has been shown frequently in local shows and cruise nights and of course gets much attention. The exterior color is correct and is Venetian red and white with a red interior. Brand new carpets have been installed. There is also a hardtop in primer that goes with the car, but needs restoration. The current miles on the odometer are 94,367 and the following numbers are offered : Motor F1219EG Black Casting 3731548 Heads 3740997 Intake 3739653 Distributor 1110891 Vin E57S101501 The transmission is out of a 1955 Corvette with the correct casting number and the rear end is out of a 1960 with a 411 posi.
