Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1979 Jeep CJ7 Golden Eagle with a 4in lift. It has served me well for the past 8 years but now it needs to be enjoyed by a new owner. It's an older frame off restoration from 1994. There are a ton of upgrades and add-ons on this Jeep. It has a Chevy V8 290HP GM Crate motor in it (purchased brand new 2/14/05 from Nucar Performance, have receipts), mated up to a Turbo 400 / AMC TH400 (rebuilt torque converter, with a tow and go valve body) with a Borg Warner 1305/1339 QuadraTrac Transfer Case, and shifted by a Hurst Pro-Matic 2 ratchet shifter. Front axel is a Dana 30 with a AMC 20 out back, 4:56 Gears and Detroit lockers front & rear. The front axle has locking hubs. Be Cool 4 core aluminum radiator, and overflow can. MSD 6 ignition box, MSD pro-billet distributor, and MSD coil. Edelbrock 600cfm performer series 1406 carburetor and Edelbrock performer series intake. Headman header exhaust into 3in Flow-masters (it's loud and exits at the doors)! 160amp Hi-Output alternator, overly capable of charging two batteries sitting in a dual battery tray (only one Optima battery included). There is also a Wrangler Power Products remote 2 way battery switch that I will throw in with it. This jeep also has a 4 wheel disk brake conversion kit installed (stainless steel brakes corporation) stopping the 33" BFG's on outlaw II rims. The master cylinder and booster are a dual piston upgrade out of a newer wrangler. A lot more custom add-ons like a rare dash overlay, 6 point roll bar (that's foam & fabric wrapped), white florescent tube to light the interior, 5 lock boxes (rears have 6x9 3 way speakers in them), Prestige alarm system, Safari bar, windshield driving lights, Ramsey PRO9000 winch, and Differential skid plates on front and rear (rear one is off but I will be included). It has a hard top and soft top with soft doors (like new), along with full hard doors (power window kit installed with lifetime warranty) (door frames have locks so that the doors cant be stolen). The front fenders are fiberglass. The radiator bug shield plate was custom cut to give access to the hood key lock to keep under the hood safe from thieves! The bad: It needs body work; it's starting to rust out where these Jeeps normally rust out (rear quarter panels, drivers side floor, & windshield lip). Needs a new vacuum 4x4 switch (mine was leaking), it also needs a power steering hose as it got pinched in-between the radiator and the frame. A few other odds and ends nothing major. Paint could use a buff to come back shiny and its a single stage paint. Everything is documented and I have a full binder of everything that was done to this thing since the 1994 restoration including pictures. You are buying a GREAT mechanical sound Jeep that runs and drives fine with TONS of potential, my loss is your gain! I suggest you ask all questions before bidding and I will try and answer them to the best of my knowledge. If you want to come look it over in person I have no problem with that. I want you to be happy with what you receive once you win the auction, SOLD AS IS! I reserve the right to cancel this auction at any time due to it being sold locally as well. It is tagged as antique and insured in Delaware the Maryland plate on the back is just for pictures.
