Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1966 Ford F100 that has a Big Block 352, and a 4 speed manual transmission. This is my run to the store truck, or to go get parts truck. The motor has a 2V carb, and other than being cold blooded she runs very well. The motor does not knock, or bellow out smoke. She has around 30K miles on her since she was rebuilt many years ago by the previous owner. The truck is a desert truck and the floors are in great shape with NO RUST. The frame rails look great also, the bed has a few small holes but, overall it's in very good condition also. The truck drives down the road straight and her huge drum brakes stop her with no issues. She is what I would call a " 10 Footer ", as the truck shows some old body work here and there. I will cover that better later on in the auction. The doors open and close well, and the body lines are very good overall. The truck does not show any signs of being in an accident either. The truck will go to the highest bidder and there is NO RESERVE!! The engine is a 352, and I am not sure if she is original to the truck but, the engine tag is still affixed to the block. The motor starts right up every time, and once she has warmed up she rocks, with alot of power and torque. The carb was rebuilt a few years back and it many be time again to freshen her up. The truck just had a tune up so that is done. She is old and after sitting she will have a quarter sized drop of oil under her, and she will have a silver dollar sized spot from the trans, The pinon seal leaks some also, but she is a old truck. The truck has manual steering and manual drums brakes on her. The trans shifts well, and you can down shift through the gears also without any issues. I have no idea when the trans was last rebuilt, but I did a fluid change on her a few months ago. The body overall is decent, the lines are good, and no signs of ever being in an accident. The hood shows alot of old bodywork, and should be redone or replaced, as she shows sand marks, and body work issues. From 10 feet away you don't see them, and it never bothered me a bit. There are a few cracks here and there in the paint, I know she looks great in pictures but, she is not a show truck. Does she have potential to be very nice, YES she does. The windows all roll up and down nicely. The door handles work inside and out. Blinkers work, lights all work, wipers work, Hazards work, and the manual choke works. The speedo works, gas gauges works, and I went to a after market temp gauge, and she runs nice and cool here in Vegas with no problems. The chrome overall around the truck is in decent shape, and the grill overall is nice. The carpet in the truck is really worn on the drivers side and should just be replaced, I have mats down in there and they look just fine. INFO: The truck is a Daily Driver type truck, and not a show truck. The winning bidder is solely responsible for the shipping of the truck. The truck is being sold AS IS, and with no warranty. There is a $1000 non refunable deposit due within 24 hours of the auction closing, and the deposit can be made through Paypal. The remaining balance is due within 3 days of the auction closing, and that may be paid with cash, cashiers check, or certified funds. The truck may be inspected anytime before the auction closes, and if you have any questions please email me and I will respond as soon as possible. My zip code for shipping purposes is 89131.
