Vehicle Detail

Hello my friends, my first and second auctions on this truck got some great bids, but it didn't quite reach my reserve price, so I'm going give it one more try. I feel this truck is worth over $10,000, but I want this auction to be the one that sells this nice truck at whatever the price, and so I've lowered my reserve price by way way down for a sure sale! Details: I bought this truck new in Louisiana in 2005, mostly used it to haul loads on the flat bed in Louisiana and Texas. I moved back to my home state of Iowa in 2010, and this truck was garage-kept December 2010 to April 2011. This truck has been driven in snow only about 8 times in it's life, and is remarkably low on rust. Has 221,826 highway miles and still runs just like new. Has the amazing Duramax turbo-diesel which pours out 365 horsepower, yet gets the best mileage by far of the "Big 3" one-tons (compared to Dodge and Ford diesels). When running with no load I always got over 18 mpg highway. Has dual fuel tanks of 20 gallons each which allowed me to go over 700 miles between fill ups. Has the famous Allison automatic transmission, works fantastic. I never had any traffic accidents, but it does have a almost unnoticeable dent on top of the cab on the passenger side (some flying debris must have banged it during a storm). Although it's not a 4x4 it still does great in snow because the back 4 tires have 3500 pounds of weight on them from the hefty 8'X9' steel flat bed. Has wooden sides with a wooden gate we built that are easy to install. Has a goosneck hitch and a regular hitch, and an electric trailer brake. Also I bought an underside tool box that I will throw in that I never got around to installing, plus I have various 2" rachet straps that I'll include, plus a steel load binder. I just put on 2 new tires on the front 4 weeks ago, and 3 out of 4 rear tires we just put on last year, which have less than 5000 miles on them. The other rear tire and the spare tire are at least 3 years old. Installed a new instrument panel last year, plus 2 new batteries, and a new alternator, also last year. The only real flaws I can think of is that the little door over the goose neck hitch (in the middle of the flat bed) has seen better days, and the sensor that detects water in the fuel (which attaches to the top of the fuel filter) is damaged, but even when it was working it never detected any water so I think water in the fuel line is a rarety so this should not cause any problems. I love this truck, it's so reliable but I don't do trucking any more so I need to sell. If you win, I am willing to help you get it to your home if you'll pay 50 cents per mile to take it to your place (I'm in North Liberty, Iowa, but I'll need to get paid in full before taking it to you). Email me with any questions through the eBay web site, or you can call me - my name is Jeff: 319-330-8752. I hope you'll come look at it in person and listen to that diesel rumble and take it for a test drive. Thanks for bidding! On Oct-28-11 at 17:26:37 PDT, seller added the following information: As stated, if you are the auction winner you can come pick up the truck yourself, or if you want it delivered, I can drive it to your place for 50 cents per mile, but there has to be a limit to how many miles, because I only can take off from work Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I'll set my limit at 700 miles, so if you won the auction and you live in Houston for instance, I could drive the truck and meet you in Oklahoma. (And it would have to be on a Tuesday evening because of my schedule). Again, any questions give me a call, I'm Jeff at 319-330-8752. Auction ends Monday evening, and thanks for bidding!
