Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a TRUE 1970 Pontiac GTO with a 400 and a M21 4 speed. This is a PROJECT car, that comes with a clean title. The car does run and drive, but it needs a full restoration. This is a very solid Nevada car with some minor rust issues here and there. The motor starts right up and is a turn key car. It has a non numbers matching 400 with the block code WT. The motor has a 4 barrel intake, Power Steering, and Power Disc Brakes for some of the under the hood options. As you can see in the pics the radiator support and radiator are missing, as somebody stole them when the front clip was disassembled years ago. This is a great project, and it even comes with the Go Wing for the rear trunk lid. The trans is a Muncie M21 Aluminum 4 speed that has a Hurst competition shifter on her. It's a short throw high dollar shifter that works great. The gears all line up well and the trans shifts nice. The floor had to be cut for the shifter as it sit higher than the original 4 speed inthe car. The car was a original 4 speed car with a console, and I do not have the console any longer. The drive train in the car is awesome, and this is a chance to build a Judge clone, or just a awesome GTO. The car has a POSI rear end that has been upgraded with Hotchkis suspension. The sway bar, trailing arms, top and bottom and the coils springs are all Hotchkis. The body overall is good, with a few rust issues, like the rear panel under the rear window from the vinyl top. I have a new panel to go with the car though. There was some small holes in the roof where the windshield meets on the drivers side, and in the drivers floor, both of which are small repairs. The passenger floor hand a old patch in it, that you may not even notice. The drivers fender had a piece cut out years ago, and I am not sure why it was cut out. The body is pretty straight overall with no signs of ever being in a accident. The doors open and shut, windows all roll up and down, door handles all work, nearly every light works including the dome light and license plate light too. Just keep in mind though the car needs a restoration, or you could do a little to her and get her to be a driving project. The car sat out in the Las Vegas sun for many years and the inside as cooked pretty good, you will also notice that I do not have a windshield for the car either as it was cracked. I have the chrome trim for the vinyl top in the trunk, along with several other trim pieces. I should have all of the trim but, there may be a few I have lost over the years. The windshield and rear window trim is complete as I laid it out in place for the pics. INFO: the car is a project car with a clear title. You may inspect the car anytime before the auctions ends. The car is being sold "AS IS" with no warranty. The winning bidder must pay a non refundable deposit of $1000 within 24 hours of the auction ending.
