Vehicle Detail
This is my 95 wrangler I built as a streetable trail crawler for myself. It is capable of Level 5 trails with a skilled driver, and a complete Novice can easily complete Level 4 trails in this rig. It is as bulletproof as it can be, and is still completely streetable. Its only downfall is that its top speed is about 55mph so it's not much of a highway driver, but is awesome around town. This rig is almost as capable as a full buggy on the trails, but unlike them, you can still go out for a cruise. There is an extensive list of modifications to make it virtually indestructible. I started with a very clean 95 wrangler totally stock, it had the tried and true 4.0 inline six, and a five speed and had 150, miles on the clock. It comes with the white factory hard top and full hard doors. And they still fit with the new roll cage! The heat and A/C work as they should, so it makes for great snow driving as well. Axles are Dana 44 front from an 87 Jeep Wagoneer, Ford 8.8 Rear from a 98 Explorer with 31spline axles and disc brakes. I spent a TON of money on steering. It uses custom hi-steer with flat top knuckles and billet bolt on hi steer arms. Tie rod and drag link are 1.25 chromoly steel and use 1 ton rod ends. Then I completely rebuilt both using the best parts, 5.13 Yukon gears and detroit lockers, completely new brakes and knuckles etc. All u-joints are the toughest Dana/Spicer available, the Dana front has manual lockouts. No expense was spared. The driveshafts are Tom Woods double cardan front and rear The engine has a hedman header and Banks exhaust with a cold air induction, and bombproof urethane 1" motor mounts, I also deleted the factory fan clutch and installed a custom fan shroud and Spal electric fan. It has an optima red top battery for durability as they are gel cell and shock resistant. The transmission was swapped for a built chrysler 904 built new by ACE transmission in Springfield, with a low stall converter and manual valve body and shift kit, shifted by a B&M shifter. The transfer case is the factory NP231, fully rebuilt with a Tera Low kit and extra short tail shaft and slip yoke eliminator. The lift kit consists of Rubicon Express 4.5" lift springs and they are spring over axle, for the best ride and articulation possible. This totals around 9" of suspension lift. Shocks are by Rancho, shackles are TeraFlex revolver, and there are custom stainless steel braided lines to each caliper. There is also a custom anti-wrap ladder bar that allows full suspension travel but keeps spring wrap fully in check. It has BDS rock sliders and a rear rock crawler bumper with an air fitting so you can use it as an air tank if you want. The wheels are MRW (Marsh Racing Wheels) beadlocks, 16x10 size. These are true beadlocks and you can run the tires literally flat without worrying about rolling off the bead Tires are Maxxis Creepy Crawlers, in a 37x12.5x16 and are the most capable rock tire I've ever seen. It also has a Warn 6000lb winch mounted on the front. The interior consists of ProCar racing seats, with Corbeau harnesses, Tuffy lockable center console, factory backseat, and Memphis marine 8" speakers in custom built boxes, a memphis 2 channel amp, and Kenwood head unit with usb/ipod hookup. The custom roll cage was done by 417 Motorsports in Springfield, MO and still allows for full use of the factory hard top and hard doors! This is the ultimate winter rig! This Jeep needs absolutely nothing, it is trail ready, street ready, doesn't leak ANY fluids, and is 100% reliable in every way. There is one spot of body damage on the drivers rear corner, where I got it into a rock wall while climbing a waterfall. This Jeep is nearly perfect other than that, it has some rock rash on the wheels as you can see in the pics. I have nothing to hide this is an excellent rig and I hate to sell it, I just don't have time to use it anymore. I have over $25,000 invested in this beast, and have had ALOT of fun, it turns heads everywhere you go, and is a BLAST to drive! There are so many mods on this thing I'm positive I've forgot several things, just feel free to ask any questions.
