Excellent candidate for further hobbying or to drive just like it is. Runs and drives, with strong engine. Hello eBayers, I know there is a lot of writing and info here, but please take the time to read it. I have always given an in-depth description of the cars I sell on eBay. I find that buyer appreciate this. If there is something I haven't covered, please let me know and contact me. This car is worth a great deal to me. However, I am listing it as a no reserve. I have done this in the past, and I find that the law of supply and demand takes over and USUALLY the right price is met. You could walk away a buyer who just "stole" a gorgeous CJ2, but nevertheless you will certainly be a proud and happy owner. This car will not disappoint when seen "in the flesh" or driven! Ok then, you are bidding on one of the toys in my collection that I need to thin out. I'm a car fanatic, and love oddball 60s 70s and 80s cars. I have sold several of my cars through eBay, all with positive feedback. These include several Mercedes 300 Diesels, a VW Westfalia, a v12 Jaguar convertible, a Datsun Fairlady Roadster, a Volvo 262 Bertone, and some others. You can be certain you are getting all the info that I have on the car you are bidding on, and I disclose everything to the best of my knowledge. The good, the neutral, the things that may need help, the history, it is all here, nothing is being hidden or undisclosed. If there is something that you would like to know, please send me an email and if you need to speak further, I'll be glad to take a call or contact you. I would like to add, please do not bid on this item if you are not wanting to follow through. As you may know, eBay ads cost money, $120 to be exact. She is worth every penny. The car is listed to the best of my knowledge and experience in ownership, and honesty is key for me. Please be willing to follow through when bidding. Everyone likes a person of their word! The cut and dry: This 1/4 ton Jeep is in remarkable condition with excellent drivetrain, working 4x4 and a brand new high performance clutch installed! I'd usually say that a vehicle is in remarkable shape for its AGE, but in this case, it is in much better shape than one would expect a rugged Jeep from 1948 to be in. There are very limited rust spots, and in fact when you look at the pictures, most of what look like "holes" in the sheetmetal are actually leaves. I apologize, but it was windy and I did the best I could. On a second look, you should easily be able to tell what is a rust spot and what isn't. The Jeep is structually VERY solid, the only structural type repair I can see is on one of the chasis beams, some inches in, on the front of the car, it has been welded, but it is done well. I'm unsure why this was done, as there is no evidence for the reason I can see. The Jeep comes with the factory winch, installed. I have the rollbar also, but I am selling that separately. Please contact me for details on it. Also, the soft top comes with the car, but it is in poor shape. The windshield frame is there, but the windshield itself has been removed. Importantly, however - She runs and drives great and the engine fires right up... no finnicky cranking or having to say a prayer. She is solid on the road, gears are great and the 4x4 works well. This is a civilian CJ2 type, made by Willis Overland. I'd usually go into more detail when selling my cars, but let's be honest, this Jeep is mostly only a frame and drivetrain, all of which are in healthy shape. In other words, there are no electrical or electronic components for me to list and tell you the condition of. I don't even need to tell you if the doors open or close... there are none! In this case, pictures and video tell it all, and I feel you will be pleased with this tough little guy. Title: The title is a good, blue title, IN MY NAME, and ready to be transfered to you. I will require a $400 cash deposit, sent to paypal, within 12 hours of auction close, and the remainder within 3 days, in cash, or a cashier's check that I can clear at a local bank on the day of pickup. If you need other arrangements, please contact me first. Please honor your bid, I have put a lot of time into this ad, and for someone to just back out is very unfair. Please let me know your intentions if you have zero feedback, or I may cancel your bids. I'm sorry, I've just had bad experiences in the past with bidders with zero or negative feedback. Good luck bidding, I know you will love this car just as much as I. I will sorely miss her. She's a really cool little Jeep! Pictures: Please click to enlarge. These are hosted on Photobucket.
