It was purchased new by my father in law and sold to us for my daughter to use about a year ago. She is off to college and so we no longer need the extra car. The car was well maintained and we have all maintenance records. Prior to selling the car to us when it had about 57,000 miles on it, the car was fully serviced and new tires were put on the car. At that time the AC Compressor and receiver drier were replaced. However, as mentioned above, the auto function of the AC does not always work, when in auto mode the system will sometimes blow warm air. Using the manual controls to put the system on LO usually causes the system to blow cold. I have researched this issue and it is likely a faulty DCCV valve which regulates the flow of coolant or hot fluid to the air exchanger. This was apparently a common problem with Jaguars of this vintage. A new valve can go from $100 on ebay to $225 new. The electronic functions of the rear view mirror (e.g. the embedded compass) are also not working. Small blemish on ash tray. These are the issues I have identified and the car is sold as is. The car runs and handles exceptionally well and has timeless style and value. With low millage and was was usually kept in the Garage, this car will provide the new owner with many years of pleasurable use.
