Vehicle Detail

This is a good solid car to restore or make a street rod. There is some rust in the trunk area at the left side, at the bottom of the pedals in the removable transmission panel, and a few pin holes in the outer rockers at the running boards. Bottoms of doors and quarters are solid. There are some dents in the trunk lid and the back of both rear fenders, Considering this is an original 65-66 year old car, it is in pretty good shape. The Mercury has a longer wheelbase than the Ford and is a more luxurious car. The engine is missing as well as the rear bumper. Some chrome pieces are missing or broken as well as typical dents in the fender moldings. I have another left taillight that is included as well as the spare grill surround shown in the pictures. The mileage numbers are kind of faded, but it appears to be be 18,148 miles which is probably 118,148 miles. I have owned the car since 1973 and it was under a barn for 30 plus years. I have a clear title in my name. I realized that I will never get it fixed up with all the other projects that I have as well as not having my storage any longer. The car is NOT driveable and will need to be trailered. You will be responsible for pick up and shipping from my location. (Rock Hill, SC 29730). If you want any more specific pictures, send me your e-mail address and I will send them. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 is required within 72 hours of the auction ending via PayPal. Balance is cash at time of pickup. NOTE---I DON'T HAVE A BUY IT NOW PRICE. THE OBJECT OF THE AUCTION IS TO GET AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FOR AN ITEM. BID WHAT YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY FOR IT AND GOOD LUCK. On Oct-08-11 at 09:53:13 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added two more pictures with one showing the tag bracket, trunk license lamp trim, the left tailamp, right taillamp trim and two bumper guards. Both guards need some work with the mounting bolt missing from one. The other picture shows the end of the left drip rail. About 2-3 inches of the end has rusted away.
