Vehicle Detail
Many large pictures below the description! ? Quick Foreword:Here we have a 1969 Plymouth GTX that was originally a 440 4 speed car. I have this car and a 1969 Road Runner and another parts car but have to sell off one of the Resto Projects to concentrate on one. I chose the Road Runner for my keeper since its further along. I just welded on two new quarters, trunk floor and other stuff on the Road Runner so I know what it will take to do this car also. Keep in mind pictures usually make them look better than in person. This is why I took so many pictures of it. This was there is not real surprises when you come to pick it up. These cars sell restored for $35,000-$50,000 so there is still plenty of room for profit for those who are into that. *A good general rule of thumb is to not assume, and always ask questions first! Description:The GTX needs full quarters, and some floor pan work. It does have some older body work showing its age. The car has really great original Mopar doors and fenders, and trunk lids super clean. The hoods nice but has a small area near the Plymouth emblem. The hood has been stripped to bare metal on top and bottom. The car has most of its GTX emblems, (minus grill emblem and whatever is not shown) The front floors need patched where your feet go, and one behind the drivers seat. I have both front short floor pans, both trunk extensions and a trunk pan that go with the car. The new repop trunk pan is sitting inside the trunk in the pictures. I have a 4 speed bell housing and stuff for the car, the only think close to an engine is a 440 block I have laying in the corner along with an intake.(the winner is welcome to that if they want it) The car still has the original 4 speed steering column, and steering gear box. The car has all the glass intact with no cracks. The front suspension looks original, but the rear end is an 8 3/4" with no gear in it, and no shocks or shock mounts. The car rolls fine for loading. There is a small amount of trim that is off of the car that goes with it also. The main uni-body on this car appears pretty solid. Has rust behind back glass but all the metal this car needs is available through AMD now. This is a major project car and needs a lot of work. I think its a good car for somebody who does their own work and can weld on new quarters and replace some stuff. ?Wheels shown are not for this car, will come with rollers only! The car is sold as is, and prefer to be paid within 3-5 days of auctions end. Expect a $500 deposit within 24 hours of auctions end. (unless other arrangements have been discussed before bidding) Bidders are welcome to come look at the car to make sure it is what they can handle. The car is located in Eldorado, IL and must be picked up within a reasonable amount of time(usually a couple weeks if already paid for) Hood is pretty solid, has the minor issues shown, it is not bolted on though. Grill has a small crack but can be epoxied. Have the front bumper and brackets but the bumper is a little beat, and needs straightened and re-chromed. 4 Speed and Bell housing (fine spine) new trunk extensions, trunk floor not welded in yet. 440 Block and Intake, know nothing about them! Good original doors Bolt on metal is all good. Nice solid trunk lid Factory 4 speed hump, and both new front floor pans. Chain was holding the transmission up at one time. Hard to miss those bod side emblems! Factory 4 speed frame bracket! Another shot of the bracket! Drivers floors Passenger side front frame where the bumper mounts! Passenger floor Trunk Floor Interior, factory bucket seat no console car!
