Recently purchased from a private owner with the idea of repairing front end cosmetic damage from a low speed deer strike accident. I have front replacement bumper (I paid $165 and will be included if car sells for enough). I was going to fix up but my mother's passing and funeral costs ate up any remaining repair funds. Car drives but engine now makes clicking rattling sound which may be a timing chain (?) so I am selling AS IS WHERE IS. CAR FAX said (before I purchased it) that it was worth $150 more than book value because of lower miles- making it equivalent to a 2005 model as far as total miles driven. We have calculated that just the useable components (should the successful bidder decide to otherwise use them rather than fix up the vehicle) would be worth in excess of $3,000.00! Driver's side window works but is off the track. There are some noticeable prominent horizontal dings/scratches along the driver side (see photos) and the front hood is also dented at the front lip. If you fix it up (as I wanted to) it could be worth $5,000-6500.00 (+). From a smoke free environment. There is nothing like driving a convertible! Top goes up and down smoothly, interior is in generally good shape with simple minor cosmetics needed to be attended to as would be expected from moderate use with its age. A/C, Heat, audio system and everything else works fine. Although the car starts right up and drives, I am not a mechanic, and herein state strongly that the car should be towed (unless you are sufficiently knowledgeable to believe that what is wrong with the vehicle is not that serious and can be remedied by you) because of the possible chance that some additional damage could occur when driven for a longer distance.
