Vehicle Detail
Selling a 2001 Mercedes CLK 320 Coupe - This vehicle runs great! It either needs some work or needs to be purchased for the parts - Either way, it's going to be a great deal! Here is a list of the items in need of repair that I'm aware of: 1. Small dent in the front right fender by the light - it does not effect the rim or edge and looks like it can easily be popped out (according to my body guy) 2. Medium dent in the back panel (above the wheel) - it does effect an edge. 3. Drivers leather seat has come unsewn at a seam - you can see the foam coming out. I've tried to repair but needs a professional in order to keep from ripping the leather as you pull it together. 4. Drivers and Passenger leather seats have small rips in the back of the seat due to somethiing poking out the back of someones pocket. 5. Climate Control unit is not working - A reconditioned part runs $445 6. Radio works but after a minute or so it beeps and then keeps beeping periodically. Looks like someone had tried to steal the radio from the vehicle and left imprints in the dash next to the stereo as well that could have caused this problem - I'm not certain though. 7. Door handles on both passenger and drivers side have the leather wrapping coming apart/off and needs repair 8. Tires are pretty much bald - there is some scrapes and damage to the rims as well. 9. Lower front spoiler has scrapes and scratches but is in fair condition and repairable without having to purchase the part (as told to me by my body guy) 10. There is a layer of protective coating on the front of the hood to protect from rocks and road debris.... It's become cracked with age and could be removed. The paint is not damaged underneath as far as I can see and I took a sample peice off just to check I purchased this car as a "parts car" in order to fix a 2002 Cabriolet of mine that I got in an accident with. Unfortunately, It does not have enough similar parts to use to make it appropriate to start to dissasemble so I'm selling it "AS - IS" and I will have to figure out what to do with my other cat later..... The quote to just fix the lower right portion of my convertible was nearly 10k in parts and even the hood was is good shape! There is probably 15 - 20 worth of parts in this vehicle if you're interesting in taking it apart and selling it by peice - These Mercedes parts are VERY expensive and there is very little available in the market so it may be the best way to purchase this vehicle. Please ask questions before you bid/purchase if you are unsure but I don't know a lot about the car since I've only had it for a month or so. It does run GREAT and you are welcome to have a mechanic come over and inspect it if you'd like! Teresa
