1972 GMC 2500 4x4 pickup 9,185 original miles. I purchased this truck from the Varrick Fire dept. in August 2008 with 8,512 miles. I am the first registered owner of this truck. Truck was held by Fire Dept. on original (MSO) manufactured statement of origin. This document was taken by Dept. of Motor Vehicles when I registered the truck but I did take and keep colored copies of this document. Other paperwork and documentation to include original certificate of sale, sales receipt from dealer, protecto plate, owners manual, emissions booklet and original 1972 NYS inspection still on windshield being that Fire Dept. was exempt from yearly inspection (shown in pictures). And lastly, a receipt from Fire Dept. to me on their letterhead listing mileage, condition always garaged, and never any accidents etc. Truck is registerd and insured in my name. Truck is a great example of a survivor. This truck is the second of 5 trucks I am selling out of my collection. This truck has a 350 V8, automatic trans, power steering, power brakes, tachometer, gauges, locking hubs, chrome hubcaps, cargo light, sliding rear window etc. Truck also has a dealer installed plow setup noted on bill of sale. Truck only plowed Fire house parking lot and that was only for the early years. This truck was soon outsized by other trucks and only kept for the fact of its simplicity to run, that the womens auxillary could operate and pump this vehicle at hours of day when men were scarce. Eventually truck was just use for parades and then sold to me. This truck has no rot but does have surface rust underneath the truck. It has all original paint including inside bed and bed floor. Truck had self contained 150 gallon tank and pump in back. When I say self contained, I mean pump had its own engine making for no extra hours on truck motor. This truck is coming up on its 40th Birthday and is in great shape.
