Up for auction is my 1980 Toyota Corolla TE72 Wagon w/ Manual 5-Speed Transmission This classic Toyota is a great example of a TE72 wagon. It had a 5-speed manual transmission, which shifts and drives very smoothly. The engine runs excellent and the car has plenty of power and accelerates great. I have owned many TE72s and this is by far the best running 3TC engine I have ever owned. The water pump and fuel pump have been replaced. I have serviced the car and had the oil changed. This vehicle has a great body with no major rust issues. I see minor rust on the headlamp housing and on the rear hatch around the rear window, both of which do not seem to have gone through. The wheels are original and have the Toyota center caps. The current mileage reads 72,200 and has exceeded the odometer capacity, I believe it is 172,200 because of how well the engine runs. The tires have good tread on them. It has a new catalytic converter installed. The muffler seems original and rattles (which can be heard in the YouTube video), I have left it on because it does not bother me too much. It has just passed its smog test and is ready for its new owner! It does great on gas mileage and is a pleasure to drive. The original hood prop is missing, however, I have one from a different car that I will include. The rear truck hatch does not stay up either, it needs a new hydraulic piece. The car does not have a/c. The interior seats are in great shape and seem to be all original. The rear seat folds down and is great for camping or extra truck space. It has the original radio which still works! The headliner has tears in it. It has cracks and some sort of glue on the dashboard, I believe its from a carpet dash cover. It also has the original roof rack as well. It has a nearly flawless body with a very small indentation right behind the driver side rear tire. It is not noticeable and will be very hard to see in the pictures also. The paint is fading and clear coat is peeling and could use a paint job. It is California registered with a Clear Title. This a great platform to build a show or race car. I truly believe with a little work this is very show worthy! There is NO RESERVE.
