The van was previously celebrity owned (from what we gather) and although it has mileage, it's in beautiful condition. This guy has the bubble top conversion and is an SE Model, wood everything, custom leather, power folding bed, heated seating, quad captains, 22" television with rear entertainment, and even a rear sunroof. The van looks very much original, has a clean history report, and it runs/drives just beautifully. There are very few of these around in this price range, much fewer in this condition. Explorer still produces these vans, in excess of $55,000 as this is equipped. exterior The paint and body on this van are original as best I can tell. There is no body rust, no hail damage, and no dents. The wheels are still in pretty nice shape and tires have good remaining tread. The bumpers are straight, fiberglass cap still in nice condition, no obvious fade or clear coat delaminate, windshield is crack free, and the fiberglass faring on the sides/back isn't all cracked up like you see on some conversion vans with mileage. You'd never guess the mileage by looking at it. The only thing to mention for wear is some slight pitting on the front end and mirror caps from freeway driving, also in behind the tires on the interior fender trim, and it has a very slight 8" crease at the right rear quarter that almost fits the body line so it's hard to see. Our PDR guy is supposed to stop by shortly and will probably be able to take it out. It's still a 9 year old van, and although probably garaged most its' life there's still a tinge of fade on some of th pin-striping, maybe 1 or 2 tiny marks, etc. It's gorgeous, just not brand new. Have a look at the photos, they do it justice well. interior The interior is in excellent shape. It's never been smoked in, still smells pretty new and very clean. The van is loaded with probably every option they had in 03. It has a large 21" LCD TV that seems to work fine, wood everything, power folding rear bed, rear entertainment, fantastic leather upholstery, dual side doors, window shades, and even a sunroof at the back. The van is SO COMFY to sit in, makes me wish I had a personal chauffer and this van. :) I haven't checked every last little button and light to make sure they work, but I believe everything works. The power folding bed works perfect which is important. The TV turns on, I haven't tried a DVD or VHS but they should be fine. The power windows, locks, tilt, cruise, A/C, etc, all in good operating order. The doors open and close easily all the way around and align properly. There are a few small cracks in some of the wood from the dry Colorado air, and the drivers door trim has a good chip out of it. I really didn't see any stains. Everything is all in really clean condition. We don't have headphones or a playstation, but we do have all the original manuals, the remotes and the keyless clicker. mechanical This van runs and drives superb. I spent about 20 minutes with it before buying it. It fires up and idles very smooth and quiet. It drives very straight, shifts perfect, all tight, quiet and civilized. Suffice it to say it rides/drives every bit as nice as it looks which should speak the van. There's no warning lights on the dash, all wheel drive works fine, shifts perfect, and the undercarriage looks clean. I don't think it's seen much if any road salt. We don't salt the roads in Colorado and it was probably garaged when it lived north early in its' life. This van has mileage, but we regularly sell the G1500s with well over 200k running fine.
