The roof and rear window area were in great shape (no rust issues) as was the rest of the car (no dents) so the paint job came out beautiful. The car was block sanded, painted, color sanded and buffed. As far as being reliable to drive to southern California, I would not hesitate to make the trip. I have been driving the car trouble free for the past 4 years. That being said, a standard disclaimer still applies: This car is sold as-is. It is the responsibility of the buyer to have thoroughly inspected the vehicle, and to have satisfied himself or herself as to the condition and value of the vehicle before bidding and to bid based upon that judgment solely. Seller assumes no responsibility for any repairs whatsoever regardless of any oral or written statements about the vehicle. Good luck and thanks for your interest! - gmchevydude From: stevechevelle2 To: gmchevydude Subject: Other: stevechevelle2 sent a message about Chevrolet : Chevelle #190581246281 Sent Date: Oct-01-11 00:28:20 PDT Dear gmchevydude, Did the car have a vinyl top on it before you had it painted? And was there any dents or a lot of filler in the car prior to paint?I live in Southern California and if I buy the car would it be dependable enough to drive from Texas to California? Thanks Steve - stevechevelle2
