Vehicle Detail

Totally restored, no expense spared rare Maico using most all original parts. Very late production 74.5 with 75 factory upgrades including swingarm chain pad, magnesium clutch cover and 75 style works fenders ( came original ) . Purchased last year to restore and race, but after consideration this beauty belongs in a museum or to be someones garage queen. Obtained the bike from East Coast Maico who purchased it from the original owner out of New York. All original bolts, fasteners, screws, axles, clamps, misc parts were sent out for replating and the kick starter rechromed. Way too much to list but here are some of the specifics. Engine dissasembled, inspected and cleaned, cases, cylinder and head glass beaded. Engine overhauled using NEW OEM MAHLE 2nd over 77.25 MM piston and ring, new primary chain, small clutch, all engine bearings and seals, all new trans bearings and seals, new 2nd gear assy, then reassembled with original replated screws. Less than 10 minutes run time to insure perfect operation of engine , trans and clutch, then fuel drained from carb and tank for storing. The pipe was sent out to have dents removed, then repainted and is ORIGINAL ! Carb is stock Bing that I soda blasted all the parts, compltetely overhauled and reassembled with replated original screws and clamps. Original Koni shocks were completely overhauled and replaced all seals, bushings and NEW OEM springs installed. New magura controls, grips and kill switch and original Magura throttle was reused. All new cables, brakes, wheel bearings, Fork boots (tubes were excellent), NEW OEM swingarm bushings, petcock, NEW AKRONT rims were used with new spokes and Michelin tires. JUST too much to list, so if you have any questions or want more specific pictures, please contact me. I did build this bike with intention to race, so it is very capable and ready to go. I would take off the Konis and original pipe before i beat them up though. I will deliver to forward air at Dulles airport for $100.00 including locks and straps. Buy with confidence and thanks for looking !
