Here is an all original 1951 Ford Prefect Gasser that was in dry storage for over 40 years! It was run from the mid 1950's to the mid 1960's. It was run at all of the major drag strips in Southern California (San Gabriel, Santa Ana, Lions etc.)! It was run with a succession of built 59AB and 8BA Flathead V8's over the years with a 39 trans and a narrowed early Ford rear end. It still has the narrowed 46-48 Ford rear end in it. It has a split and drilled wishbone up front along with a very nicely drilled out (in large slots) front axle! The rear wishbone is drilled out to match the front. There are lightning holes everywhere (a very common practice on drag cars in the 50's to save weight!). Unfortunately the original dash, steering column, firewall and floor are missing. It was run with a very simple aluminum firewall, floor and dash to save weight. They would be very simple to replicate. The body is in "incredible" condition! I couldn't find a bit of rust other than some very light surface rust from sitting. The body is strait as an arrow and solid! The original hood on the car was cut and a scoop added in the 50's. I have two more uncut hoods that will be included with the car. The panel that goes below the deck lid and original semaphores aren't on the car in the pictures but I do have them. The car was last run with chrome steel Radiar Wheels all the way around. One is still on the left rear. This car would be a blast to put back on the drag strip with a built flathead! If you don't care for the Prefect front end an Anglia front end is a direct bolt on. Also the last guy that owned the car was contemplating updating the car and bought the Weld Wheels and Slicks that you see in the pictures and they are included with the car. This is a great opportunity to own an original drag car from the 50's for a very low price. This car would be a blast to run! There is no pink slip (this car was used for drag racing only) so a bill of sale will be given for the car! This car is sold as is, I have many more pictures available!
