Vehicle Detail
I've decided to sell my truck due to my wife and me not needing it. We intentionally bought it to buy a boat next spring, but it doesn't look like our finances are going to allow us to do that, and I don't want the truck to sit here not being used. I drive it to work about twice a week to keep it from sitting (150 miles a week), but I have a smaller car that I typically use as a daily driver. Someone will be getting an awesome truck. I took it into my mechanic about a month ago for a full tune up ($500 bill w/receipt), of which he replaced the following: - New water pump - New thermostat - New Serpentine Belt - New Distributor, cap, & rotor - (8) New Plugs & Wires The options on the truck include CD player, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors, keyless entry, push button 4x4, cruise control, tilt wheel, towing package w/trailer brake, and power driver's seat (cloth interior with 0 rips or holes) - VERY comfortable seats! I would rate the interior shape a 7 out of 10. The owner before me is a family friend and he drove the truck for about 100k before I purchased it. It does have pretty high miles (238k) from most people's opinions, but the 5.7 liter 350's go forever. The brakes (all around) were replaced in the fall of 2010. The tires are in pretty decent shape, I'd say they have 60-65 percent tread life remaining. The truck is in FANTASTIC shape for being 15 years old. This is probably one of the very few remaining Sierra's or Silverado's of this body style that isn't rotted out. The rocker panels and frame rails are solid, feel free to come and look for yourself; the only rust that I've been able to really spot out while washing it is on the front passenger fender underneath the wheel well trim. This would be a very easy fix if someone wanted to do the work (it didn't bug me). There are a few quirks, scratches, dings, and dents here and there amongst the body, but it is a truck and well worth the money. It's got a factory GM bed liner, as well as an aftermarket vinyl tonneau cover. I recently went and had a CD player installed in the truck to upgrade from the stock radio that was in it. (I still have that radio and it will go to the new owner) The truck is owned free and clear, FYI. The tailgate opens, but is a little tricky. I will show the new owner. As far as mechanical problems go with the truck, I can't think of any. The service engine soon light is on, and has always been on throughout my entire ownership. My mechanic told me it's coming from the exhaust sensor, and he wasn't able to figure out why it's throwing it. My father has an 03' Silverado with the same engine and the same light is on. Maybe it's a GM thing? Needless to say, there really isn't a problem considering the truck drives great. Another issue is, the temp gauge is not functional. I would have fixed it, but the only way to is swapping the gauge cluster out (or put a pillar mount gauge in), and I wanted to keep the original cluster in for mileage purposes. Please give me a call if you want to come and look at it and take it for a test drive. Look around at other trucks and see what you can find for this price and shape. I wish you the best. My name is Mitchell and I live in Hastings Michigan. Thank you!! (P.S. I also have the truck for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early) (269-986-3430)On Sep-21-11 at 03:19:32 PDT, seller added the following information: ****I'd like to note some details on eBay's "Vehicle History Report". It says "accident found". I've got the Car-Fax on this, and it's clean as a whistle, other than when the previous owner hit a deer on the front right corner. I'm assuming that's what they consider an accident. The truck's been fixed perfectly, and was hardly damaged. (I actually remember when the owner did this) As far as it's score of "49", I'd say it deserves something more like 70+.****
