Vehicle Detail

For sale is my 1967 Porsche 912. I have owned the car for nearly eight years and am the second owner. The car was originally sold in Atlanta and remained there until I purchased it in early 2004. The car has not been driven in salty conditions, but the pans do tend to deteriorate with age and I replaced these earlier this year. It would be difficult to list all of the "new" parts on this car. I have simply replaced everything that needed attention as it occurred. The mileage is original, as stated by the clear Virginia title. The car is driven frequently, but not far. In the course of the several thousand miles I put on the car it has had the following attention. The car runs , shifts and brakes as it should. I will be adding a video. 2004 Stripped and finished in base coat/ clear coat 2011 Hood top and rear deck stripped and resprayed base coat/ clear coat due to rock chips and scratches by a careless mechanic 2004 New rear calipers and new pads all around 2011 Calipers rebuilt front, new pads, brake fluid changed. 2010 New battery 2011 New Pans 2008 New Radials, appx 2500 miles on tires 2009 Bursch quiet after market exhaust. 2007 New cables and complete rework and adjustment of heater boxes and controls 2011 Weber carbs removed and rebuilt, factory type air cleaners installed 2009 New generator and vintage regulator installed 2011 Valve adjustment, new spark plugs, rotor, and points 2009 New shifter bushings The radio is the original am/fm/sw. The heater is fantastic. I am sure I have overlooked some improvements, but the message is that the car was nice when I purchased it and I have spared no expense to keep it that way. I have the original owner's manual and service book. The winning bidder must make a paypal deposit of $1000 within 24 hours of the completion of auction and full payment must be made within 72 hours of completion of auction. If you wish to pay the balance by paypal, you must add the paypal premium. The car will not be released until all funds have cleared. Feel free to email if you have any questions. If you would like to inspect the car during the auction I will try to accommodate you if possible. On Sep-12-11 at 13:07:34 PDT, seller added the following information: The transmission is a 5spd.On Sep-12-11 at 15:19:17 PDT, seller added the following information: The above entry should read voltage regulator, not vintage regulator. On Sep-15-11 at 12:47:31 PDT, seller added the following information: There have been a few questions on the condition of the body/finish of the car. While I can personally assure you that the body is good, I think a video would be far more convincing! Here you go: And, as promised, a video of the car running, driving, shifting, braking: On Sep-16-11 at 07:47:50 PDT, seller added the following information: I'd also like to share these with you all, I think it will help with your questions:
