This 1953 GMC 1/2 ton is a true survivor, all original unrestored, little more than 52,000 miles. Note that this is a true and correct 1953 with the lack of chrome due to the Korean War. In 2000, I became the third owner purchasing it from a nephew of the original owner a retired farmer. The nephew had the truck painted (only) in the mid 1970's and it hasn't been touched since. It had no body work done just paint. It has a 6 volt system (positive ground), 228 c.i. and 3 speed manual on the column. The only things I added is the 15" wheels w/ 235 70 R 15 Cooper Cobra tires, rear bumper and inside rear view mirror. It has the original rubber floor mat, seat cover and wood in the box floor. There is minor rust on the cab corners, kick panels and lower cowl (drivers side only). The parking brake needs new cables but everything else works and drives fine. The original wheels and hub caps are included as well as the owners manual and a repair maintenance manual. In one picture there is a center console I built w/AM FM cassette w/ speakers that just sits on the floor and was powered by a 12volt motorcycle battery, this unit is included if wanted.
